Andy Corren was aware that it would be impossible to get his extended family, as well as his mother’s “approximately 77,000” friends, together at her funeral.

The 52-year old Upstate New York writer and talent manager decided instead to write an open obituary to honour his mother’s “bawdy rowdy” life.

Renay Corren (84), succumbed after suffering from a number of health problems that she had been fighting for almost two decades. She died on December 11.

It’s been virally shared by her son as a heartfelt and funny remembrance about his “plus-sized Jewish redneck Tough Gal” mother, who was ‘who didn’t cook and was bad with money’.

‘I had a mother who perfected the art of turning her pain into art and her art was her life, and for better or for worse, however you view her… that is a powerful lesson for everybody,’ he told DailyMail.com.

Renay was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, ‘where she first fell in love with ham, and atheism,’ her son wrote in her obituary, which was posted online on Wednesday.

She ‘then went on to become the bawdy, fertile, redheaded matriarch of a sprawling Jewish-Mexican-Redneck American family,’ Andy told DailyMail.com on Thursday.

“Here are Renay’s great talents: dying her red roots and getting weekly manicures. She also enjoyed dirty jokes. Pier fishing. Rolling joints. And buying dirty magazines. That’s Corren’s final obituary.

Renay Mandel corren, the mother of the grieving child, gave him some advice and helped her turn his grief into a funny but heartfelt viral moment.

‘Life is not so overwhelming or so bitter or impossible that you can not take the reins and turn it into a story. I hope the world celebrates people like my mother,’ Corren told DailyMail.com.

Renay Mandel Corren, 84, succumbed to a series of health complications she had battled for nearly two decades and died in El Paso, Texas on December 11

Renay Mandel, age 84, died from a number of complications due to her health. She had been fighting for almost two decades.

“Yes, she was a little bit of a fraudster, but we still need these people. We also need characters. He said that we need people to teach us resilience and how to persevere.

Renay lived across the country for her 80-years, yet Corren noted that “she was at home wherever someone was paying.”

‘Where she lived was where she was either spending money, making money, and taking money,’ he reminisced laughing. She moved to El Paso, Texas, where she passed, to live with ‘her favorite son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lourdes Corren’ 15 years ago after the loss of her daughter Cathy Sue Corren Lester Trammel Webster.

Corren describes the ‘Gay-Mexican-Jewish-Redneck branch of America’ that his mother was the matriarch of as ‘real American people.’

‘People wanna talk about real America? He insisted that he would spend five minutes with his family. ‘She was America through and through.’

Corren is happy to see the extent to which his honest obituary has been enjoyed, ‘but that’s her she had a big reach.’

Renay’s story is portrayed in a charming obituary.

Renay was a liar a lot. Corren noted that Renay wasn’t a good cook or a great housekeeper, but she did have a few positive points.

‘It’s who she was in living color,’ he said to DailyMail.com, ‘My mommy was large and she contained multitudes.’

The obituary tells charming antidotes of Renay's life including her love affair with Larry King

'She spent it all, folks. She left me nothing but these lousy memories,' Corren quipped lovingly in his mothers obituary

“She spent it all,” said Corren. Corren chuckled lovingly about his mother’s obituary.

The obituary stated that the family requested no privacy and none of their propriety. They actually encouraged you to use government money to buy a blackjack table, a 1 armed bandit or a cruise for our inheritance.

She spent everything, people. Corren chuckled lovingly at his mother’s obituary.

Although Renay is mocked in the obituary for her life and parenting style, Renay was beloved because of being who she was.

‘What we are is what we got. We’re all we got. We’re the family and there isn’t a back up family waiting. This is the end. It’s not perfect,’ Corren said. Corren explained that his mom’s obituary is funny and will make people laugh, but the family still mourns their mother.

The obit states that there will be an extremely disrespectful, totally non-denominational, memorial to the deceased on May 10, 2022. It is most likely to take place at Fayetteville’s bowling alley.
