“I’ll be sitting on my couch watching!” After revealing that she had tested positive for Covid, Strictly’s Tilly Ramseysay has to withdraw from the final.

Strictly star Tilly Ramseysay, who was positive for Covid after she tested positive for it, has announced that she will not appear in Saturday’s grand finale.

After contracting the disease, the 20-year old presenter took to Instagram and revealed that she was going to be joining the group of eliminated celebrities.

Tilly with her partner Nikita Kuzmin, her professional partner, became the ninth couple to vote off the show last month after they failed to impress audiences with their samba.

It was revealed that Tilly’s partner in dance, Nikita, is now in “hot water” with Nicole Wirt, her long-term girlfriend after she failed to return home to Germany.

Nikita will not be able to return to Japan until his contract obligations are over. He has also been hindered by complications from the ongoing coronavirus crises.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Nikita hasn’t made any decision not to return home, he wouldn’t have been able to go home regardless of new variants as he is contracted to the show and so needed for group numbers etc.’

Tilly and Nikita were ninth to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing. This left her father, who was a famous dancer, wailing in the studio.

After scoring 30 points for Samba to Levitating By Dua Lipa’s Samba to Levitating, Chef Gordon (55) couldn’t contain his tears when Nikita left the competition. They placed last on the leaderboard.

Gordon Ramsay’s daughter spoke highly of her It Takes Two experiences, gushing about it.

She told host Rylan Clark: ‘You know what, I’m so sad that’s it’s over but I’m also celebrating what we’ve done in the past ten weeks. It’s just been amazing and I want to look back at it positively, because that’s what it was, just the best experience.’

Tilly spoke out about her show experience and credited Nikita with her growth. She said: ‘I actually watched back our week one dance the other day and then watched this dance, and I couldn’t believe it was me still.

‘In that one I could barely let go of Nikita whereas in this one he’d managed to get me dancing around the floor smiling, shaking and just having fun.’
