A 32-year old man was charged by police with the rape of an elderly lady in her home last week.
Brady Hickman, who will be appearing before the Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court this afternoon with charges of rape and two offenses for sexual assault by penetration, is expected to make his defense.
This is a case involving an elderly victim in Gloucester who activated her Lifeline alarm in the early hours last Thursday to report being raped.

Faye Satchwell Bennett, Detective Sergeant, Rape and Serious Sex Offences, stated: “Specially-trained officers continue to support victim, who has displayed incredible bravery, strength, and courage throughout this process.
“She would like to express her gratitude for all the help she received from our community and officers.”
Last week, police identified Hickman as the suspect in the crimes. He was tracked down and taken into custody in Stroud thanks to witnesses who responded to the appeal.
