As they were attending a formal engagement, the Swedish royals displayed a stunning display just days before Christmas.

Crown Princess Victoria joined her parents King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia at the Swedish Academy’s Annual Grand Ceremony held at the Old Stock Exchange building in Stockholm.

The mother-of-two, 44, stunned in a floor-length green gown teamed with black heels and a fur jacket, while opting to wear her glossy brunette hair into her signature low bun style.

The look was completed by her choosing to highlight her natural beauty with subtle blusher and nude lipstick.

The royal beamed alongside her parents as Queen Silvia, who is the longest serving queen of Sweden, led the way in a fur-trimmed shawl and matching black dress.

As he wore the same black suit and white shirt, King Carl Gustaf was equally professional.

Even though it was cold outside, he looked happy and did not need to wear a coat.

Every member of the Swedish Royals finished their appearance by wearing a sash. This is the star of the Order of the Seraphim as well as the family order of King Carl Gustaf.

Tradition has it that the family gathers together for the annual Christmas event.

King Gustav III founded the Swedish Academy in 1786. Its mission is to preserve the purity, strength and beauty of the Swedish language.

Each year, the Academy appoints the recipients of several scholarships and awards. It also decides who will receive the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Among this year’s recipients are Ingvar Björkeson who received the Royal Prize for the year 2021, Lotta Lotass who received the Gerard Bonnier’s prize for the year 2020 and Suzanne Osten who was given the Kellgren Prize for the year 2021.

Large crowds attended the Swedish Academy’s annual Grand Ceremony, held at Stockholm’s Old Stock Exchange.

While the Swedish royals prepare for the festive season, King Carl Gustaf (Queen Silvia) and Queen Silvia have busy schedules in the days ahead.

The pair are set to attend Drottningholms Slottsteaters concert at Drottningholm’s castle church on the 23rd, the same day Queen Silvia will celebrate her 78th birthday.

In the meantime, we are unlikely to see Prince Daniel or Crown Princess Victoria stepping out before the holidays.

The Swedish royal family releases a Christmas message just a few days before the big event, much like her Christmas Day speech. It reflects on the past year and looks ahead to the next.
