A new video captures the moment that a NYPD cruiser crashed into pedestrians in Bronx. It left 10 people injured, three seriously.

At 3:00 on Thursday, the victims were hit at Hoe Avenue in Bronx and Westchester Avenue in Westchester Avenue. The victims are believed to have sustained severe injuries.

The treatment of all 10 injured, including 2 cops, has been completed at Lincoln Hospital and Jacobi Memorial Center.

The child was among those who were injured. It’s not clear if two police officers rushed to get treatment for the children.

The scene featured a horrifying image of a cart that was crushed on the ground by the collision with a cruiser. 

Speaking to the media, Jeffrey B. Maddrey, the NYPD’s chief of patrol, said: ‘Of course, we don’t want to see anybody injured, especially when the officers were trying to do the right thing.’

He said, “They were trying stop a crime being committed. They were trying for someone to be a victim to a Bronx good man.” 

Chief Maddrey stated that they were trying to stop that crime. However, the accident gave the opportunity for that individual to take the car.  

‘We didn’t even catch the person we were trying to get,’ he also said. “Once an accident happened, officers needed to go into emergency mode and ensure that civilians were safe.

When reached for comment by DailyMail.com, an NYPD spokesperson simply said: 'The investigation remains ongoing'

The officers’ injuries are minor, the New York Daily News reported. The officers were responding to an emergency call about a car stolen in progress. It had sirens sounding and its lights flashing.

According to NBC New York, the two policemen in the car were responding to a call about a larceny situation and speeding up when they were stopped by a gray Acura sedan. 

A curb can be found near an assisted-living facility.  

The victim with the most injuries is 65-years old, while the victim with the youngest injury is only five. A two-year old boy was among the victims of the accident that saw the police officers being cut off. 

A witness, Nelson Quinones, 42, told the New York Times that one of the victims was an elderly man who is known in the neighborhood for wearing red clothes. Quinones claimed that Quinones witnessed a young girl being hit by the cruiser.

He continued, “It’s crazy that cops do this.”

The NYPD car’s front was seen distorted after being impaled onto a pole. Photos taken at the scene show this. 

Chuck Robinson, another witness to the incident, stated that the cop car was going at a high speed. The car struck a woman and her baby at the corner. The camera pinned her against the wall.

‘Then it [the police vehicle]A lady walking with her walker was hit and the guy who came out of the building was also stopped. “There was also a lady on the sidewalk that I hit,” he said. 

Robinson said that Robinson was also able to say: “The woman with the baby had fallen and she was doing chest compressions. Although the man was trying to rise, he was covered with blood. 

According to the newspaper, a witness could be heard saying “Yo, what’s your doing?” Who’s driving? Which f–k are you driving? Do not move her Do not move her.
