Surprising CCTV footage shows that two rival gangs engaged in a gun fight at night, leaving a man aged 22 dead.

Naasir Frans (22 years old) was shot thirteen times during a fight between rival gangs at Lozells. Birmingham on August 26, 2013.

Naasir, who was chased down and killed by Teeko, 17-year-old, and Darnell Donovan–Harris (22-years-old), was left to die.

He was taken to hospital by paramedics with stomach injuries.

West Midlands Police has released video footage from the gun fight on Friday. Le and Donovan Harris were both jailed in connection with the murder.

Le, now 18, was jailed for a minimum of 20 years after he was found guilty of murder, attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Donovan-Harris, now 23, was found guilty of manslaughter and jailed for 18 years following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court.

Le was 18 when he was convicted of murder, attempted murder, and possessing an offensive weapon.

After a Birmingham Crown Court trial, Donovan Harris was found guilty and sentenced to 18 years imprisonment.

Lawrence Morgan, 25, was a member in a Rival Gang and pleaded guilty for possessing a firearm.

Le and Donovan–Harris were seated outside Lozells Road shops when Morgan and Naasir arrived in their Lexus white Lexus.

Morgan and Naasir jumped into the car of an accomplice and escaped from their Lexus as they saw rival gang members.

After that, they drove to Lozells Road to pick up the gun.

Morgan got back on his bicycle, while Naasir jumped into the Lexus.

Le and Donovan Harris chased Morgan and spotted Naasir seated in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and began to punch him.

Rival gang member Lawrence Morgan, 25, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm and was sentenced to five years.

Le fired, leaving Naasir in the driver’s seat multiple times. This left him with numerous gunshot wounds.

Morgan was also nearby and began to fire towards Le, Donovan-Harris, before jumping into the Lexus when the two fled. 

Morgan decided to take Naasir into the hospital and drove off, before leaving his friend to die in a nearby street where many people attempted to help. 

Naasir was taken into hospital, but it could not be saved despite all the efforts of emergency personnel. 

After an analysis of CCTV footage and telephone records, each suspect was located on the spot. The three men were then arrested over the following days.

Jim Munro, detective chief inspector of Detectives said that they were being held in jail because of their gun possession.

Morgan and Teeko Le both carried guns and opened fire, in the knowledge that they could all be shot.

Naasir was the unfortunate victim of this fateful event.

Naasir’s passing is a terrible loss of life. Not only Naasir, but also Naasir, a young man and teenager, who will spend many years in prison.
