Teenage terror suspect was arrested and accused of posting extremist content on Instagram. This included ‘Isis Training’ videos.

Elias Djelloul, 19, from east London, allegedly posted six different videos, including one featuring ‘Isis training’, between July 24 and September 7 this year.

Mr Djelloul also published films entitled ‘Shaheed on the Battlefield’ and ‘Jihad in Syria’, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard.

He was arrested last Friday by officers from the Met Police’s Counter Terrorism Command.

Elias Djelloul (19) from East London was today charged with sharing extremist material, including videos of ‘ISIS training’.

Paul Goldspring District Judge remanded him in custody, ahead of his December 17th plea-and trial preparation hearing.

Under Section Two of 2006’s Terrorism Act, Mr Djelloul is facing six charges of dissemination terrorist material.

Met Commander Richard Smith, in a Friday statement, urged the public for ‘extra eyes’ and ‘extra ears’.

On Friday, Richard Smith, the Met Commander (pictured), urged the people to become the force’s “extra eyes and ears”.

He stated that ‘teams within the Met as well as across counterterrorism policing nationwide carry out proactive investigations daily to identify and target individuals we suspect are involved in terrorist acts’.

“We ask the public for extra eyes and ears. I urge anyone with any information to counter terrorism police, to call me in confidence to share that information. 

“Your call will not endanger lives; but, it may save them.”
