Tesco manager orders specially embossed pen for staff who exceed their pre-Christmas sales targets.
Stroud is the location. The competition for a brand new TV set will be held and everyone will receive a pen.
These pens can be personalized with the message “I helped take a Million Xmas 2021 Thanks you.”
Tesco staff in Stroud, Gloucestershire are to receive specially personalised pens after the store exceeded their pre Christmas target by selling more than £1 million n goods over the festive period
In addition to the free pens, employees at the store can be entered in the drawing for a TV.
This offer was placed on a noticeboard at the Stroud shop by staff. This notice advised that:
“This achievement was outstanding and better than any store budget.
A local resident named mjh1972 reacted on social media by saying, “That’s not recognition. That’s an insult.”
“As regards the chance to win a TV–I presume that the LG is heavily discounted in Tesco. If so, how much will the manager or his assistants get in bonus?
Sidebottom claimed that directors are paid huge bonuses.
Tesco stated that the Stroud Store colleagues did an outstanding job in 2017. We have several measures to say thanks, including the doubling of our colleague discount and activities in the store such as a prize draw for a television and other prizes.
