Tom Chaplin, Keane’s frontman was revealed as Poodle in Saturday’s episode.
After Pat Cash revealed himself as Bagpipes and Heather Small as Chandelier respectively, Snow Leopard as Gloria Hunniford, Will Young as Lionfish, the 42-year-old singer became fifth to be unmasked.
Tom left the competition after he attempted to earn the judge’s favour by belting out the classic hit Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield.

It’s you! The Masked Singer’s Saturday episode featured Tom Chaplin, Keane’s frontman. He was revealed as Poodle by The Masked Singer
After his performance judges Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross guessed it could be Mika or Rylan under the costume, but they were incorrect.
Tom, speaking after being unmasked, said, “I love it. I find it exciting, terrifying, confusing and exhilarating. However, it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done.”
He spoke out in a post-show interview, explaining why he chose to participate in the show. This is very important, especially if your goal is to look like a multicoloured multicoloured dog poodle seven feet tall.
“I also have embraced new challenges. Living in a band is almost like being on an isolated island. So it’s important that you try out things beyond your comfort zone.

Surprise: The songwriter, 42, became the fifth celebrity to be revealed after Pat Cash was unmasked as Bagpipes, Heather Small was unveiled as Chandelier, Snow Leopard was unmasked as Gloria Hunniford and Will Young turned out to be Lionfish

Home time: Tom left the competition after he attempted to earn the judge’s favour by belting out the classic hit Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
When asked how difficult it was to keep it secret, he replied: “I thought it would take a lot more effort but I got the hang of it pretty fast.
I spend my most time in Kent with my small family. So, keeping silent has been mostly about not telling my daughter the truth when she is puzzled by my infrequent disappearances in the mornings and return late at night.
Tom shared that he wasn’t impressed by the guesses made by judges prior to his reveal. He said: ‘Hopeless! Grayson Perry, Snoop Dogg and an ambiguous suggestion that I must be a drag-queen were among the others who were able to guess.

Not right: After his performance judges Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross guessed it could be Mika or Rylan under the costume, but they were incorrect
“I felt a bit humbled that the producers decided to go with Mika because she’s such a talented singer. Jonathan must not have known it was me. I’m sure he saw my TV shows many times.
Robobunny started the show by singing Dynamite by BTS. He impressed all the judges. Rita thought that it might be actor Will Smith after watching the performance, but Mo Gilligan believed it to be Joe Jonas.
Doughnuts was next to perform, belting out Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. Davina also praised the song selection as a crowd pleaser. Alan Shearer (or Matt Lucas) and Michael Owen were the three people who could be guessed behind the mask.

Performance: Speaking after being unmasked Tom said: ‘I’ve loved it, I found it exhilarating and terrifying and confusing, but I really have had the best time’

Good attitude: In a post-show interview lifted the lid on why he decided to take part in the show, saying: ‘I’ve got to a point in my life where I don’t take myself too seriously anymore’

Bad guesses
Next, Firework performed Kids by Robbie Williams & Kylie Minogue. Jaime Winstone and Lacey Turner were both suggested to be the possible underneath suspects.
Panda performed One Direction’s song Story of My Life. Mo Gilligan believed that it could have been Rebecca Ferguson from X Factor, Rita Ora though it was Pixie Lott.
Next was Traffic Cone, who performed Back For Good from Take That. The judges suggested Robbie Williams and Example as guesses.

Amazing costume: Robobunny (pictured), who opened the show, sang Dynamite from BTS and impressed the judges with his efforts

Hmm: Rita guessed after the performance that it could be Hollywood actor Will Smith, while Mo Gilligan thought it was Joe Jonas
Mushroom then took to the stage and performed Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. Katy B, Lily Allen and Kimberley Walsh were among the names who were mentioned by the judges as guesses.
Rockhopper was last to perform and belted out Stevie Nicks’s song Edge of Seventeen. Davina thought it was Zara Larsson and Jonathan Ross thought it was Fergie.
It comes after last week Pat Cash was unveiled as Bagpipes.

Fun: Next up to perform was Doughnuts who belted out Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond, with Davina praising the song choice as a ‘crowd pleaser’
Speaking after being unmasked, Pat apologised to Scots for his Scottish accent he’d put on during the show and explained he had ‘Scottish blood’.
He also stated that after having previously been in a rock band, he ‘liked the idea’ of focussing on himself, but admitted that performing on The Masked Singer was just as ‘nerve-wracking’ as taking part in the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
On why he wanted to take part, the Australian former tennis player said in an interview: ‘I’ve always been a frustrated rock star and fancied doing the Masked Singer from the first day I saw it.

Show: Firework took to the stage next, singing Kids by Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue. Lacey Turner and Jaime Winstone were suggested as guesses as to who it could be underneath

Cool costume: Panda then performed One Direction’s hit Story of My Life. Mo Gilligan guessed it could be X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson, while Rita Ora thought it was Pixie Lott
Pat was a successful tennis player and won the men’s singles championship at Wimbledon in 1987.
The ITV singing competition is back for a third series with Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross returning to the judging chairs while Joel Dommett is back as host.
Last month it was revealed that both Davina and Rita had people they know take part in the show.

Singing: Up next was Traffic Cone who sang Back For Good by Take That. Micheal Ball, Example and Robbie Williams were suggested as guesses by the judges

Here they are! Mushroom took to the stage, performing Crazy by Gnarls barkley. Katy B, Lily Allen and Kimberley Walsh were among the names who were mentioned by the judges as guesses
Speaking to MailOnline, Davina and Joel revealed someone Rita knows ‘quite personally’ was among the contestants while Davina found it ‘weird’ to see someone she knew, but neither of them correctly guessed their friends identities.
Davina said: ‘What might be a massive name for Mo might not be a massive name for me and vice versa.
‘There’s a big name for me, there’s a big name for Mo. He couldn’t believe it. There was someone I know, that was quite weird.’

Star: After last week’s unveiled of Pat Cash as Bagpipes, it comes now. Unmasked after speaking, he apologized for the Scottish accent that he displayed during the show.
Joel (36), exclaimed that this was the best series to date.
“Having an audience really changes everything. There is a lot more energy at the studio and families are enjoying it the same as theirs. “It’s been the best series so far,” he stated.
Joel joked that he gets asked “Who’s the sausage?” It’s easy to just run. My house is my safe place when it’s on the television. It doesn’t make sense to travel.

After being named Lionfish, Will Young became the third celeb to have been eliminated from America’s favorite guessing game.
Mo (33-year-old standup comedian) explained why celebrities have been upping their game.
“I believe what is happening now is that viewers have seen the show, so they are trying to alter the way people speak. They might even put accents on us to confuse them. Even their singing style is changing.
“People are trying to up their game and not get taken advantage of so quickly.”
Davina, 54 years old, says that show’s inclusion is the reason it is so well-received.

First: Heather Small, a celebrity who was hiding behind a chandelier costume and was unveiled by the public.
“I can’t remember a show more inclusive than this one. I doubt anyone expected it to be that way when it began, but it was. There’s always something to do, and it’s all about guessing who. It’s so much fun.
Rita (pop star), is 31 and loves the idea of “going blind.”
“I like to remind myself names and things just to refresh my memory, but I don’t know how to do that because anyone can be there. “It’s funny going in blind,” she stated.

There she is: Snow Leopard was unmasked as the show’s oldest ever contestant, Gloria Hunniford
Jonathan, a veteran presenter and broadcaster, gives the inside scoop on the competition among the panel.
It’s hot in some aspects. It doesn’t really matter to us all. Rita is the only one that wants to win the series. She won both the previous two. I believe she believes the prize of a hat trick is worth the effort. My impression is that she has been doing the most poorly of any of us so far. That’s actually quite charming.
“I feel like I’m doing the most for the time, despite all odds. However that won’t last.”
The Masked Singer aired first on ITV, January 1. It continues on Saturday evenings at 7 p.m.

Third series: The ITV singing competition is back for a third series with Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross returning to the judging chairs while Joel Dommett is back as host
