It was the moment that a little girl heard her father, a soldier, for the first times in seven months. She ran to his arms and had a heart-warming reunion with him.
Derick Nazario (25), had separated from his wife Naiomy Cores (24) and their 3-year-old daughter Skye at Florida. He set out for Fort Leonard Wood basic training, Missouri. After that, he was moved to Colorado several months later.
Ms Cores filmed footage of the toddler repeating the words “my beautiful Skye” to the person outside.
The tiny girl instantly recognizes who it is, and she cries “Papa!” Before running to her father laughing, she enters the home.

Ms Cores was a Bayamon woman, Puerto Rico. She set up this touching moment to let her husband know she was coming home.

Ms Cores is from Bayamon (Puerto Rico) and decided to surprise him when he was due back. He travelled to Frisco, Texas to see her mother as she was close to their Colorado military base.
While the event took place October 2020, Ms Cores kept it secret until she shared it in an Instagram throwback. It quickly became viral, with millions of people viewing.
Skye was astonished by her response. She said, “I felt like crying when she saw my reaction. I knew she loved him so much.”
“After many nights of crying, she fell asleep in her bed crying and then they finally went to sleep together.

Skye cried at night for Mr Nazario, a private second class soldier in the U.S. Army. She would often tell him how much her family missed him.
