After they were discovered dead at their Cumbria home, police claim that they are not suspicious of the deaths. However, neighbours say they hear running water and pay tribute to the ‘devoted’ mother and son.

A mother and her son were found dead at home.

Police discovered the bodies of Natalie Kane (27), and Harry (11) after being called about concerns regarding her welfare December 30.

Cumbria Constabulary stated that they were taken to Whitehaven, at 2.52pm. Officers found the bodies of their victims there.

MailOnline received reports from neighbors that water was running near the property just as the bodies were discovered.

The force spokesperson stated that there were no unusual circumstances. Next week will see the completion of post-mortems.

Last night, a neighbour said: ‘She was a lovely lass and absolutely doted on that little boy, he was beautiful and this is such a tragedy.

After they were discovered by police, tributes were paid to the mother’s ‘wonderful’ and her son.

“The police are not telling us the truth, only that Harry and Natalie were discovered dead at her home,” she said.

The only thing that was alarming was the constant flow of water down the sewer pipe.

“It was almost as if a sink or bath were overflowing.

“The police asked neighbours about Natalie, and then the police and paramedics ran into my flat.”

“When they said they had both died, it was heartbreaking.”

While the police cannot confirm their identities, the locals have named them as well-wishers who paid tribute to a mother that was dedicated to her little one-year old son.

Friends Ashton Graham & Stacey Hackett have set up a fundraising page to support the funeral of the couple.

Ashton said, “I just want her to know what a great mam she is and how proud I am of her.”

She’s touched many people’s hearts. Harry will never be able to comprehend how loved and important she was.

“When someone says that your best friend could be your soulmate,” I believe they are referring to you.

“A piece of me is gone with you. My life won’t be the same.

“He (Harry), was such a happy little baby. Your little mam was a genius, and protected Harry from harm. You made sure that he always had what he needed.

“You made his life the most wonderful, and he is the embodiment of your love.”

More than £3,000 has so far been donated by well-wishers wanting to help Natalie’s family.

The fundraising page has a statement that reads, “We want to help Natalie’s family by making a donation to this fund as it is their right.”

We’re not asking for the entire amount, but any little help is appreciated. Natalie’s brother Shane has chosen Women Out West to be his charity of choice.

“This charity was so helpful to Natalie, Shane is very happy for her and this is the best way of saying thank you.

In tribute to Harry and Natalie, a balloon release is being planned for Natalie’s hometown of Maryport in Cumbria.

Cumbria Police confirmed they do not consider the deaths suspicious.

They stated in a statement that they attended Wellington Row after receiving a call at 2.52pm on 30/12 about a woman’s welfare.

Two people died in this address, a woman in her twenties as well as a 1-year-old baby.

“There are not suspicious circumstances.” We have contacted the coroner.
