Seven-year-old daughter was severely injured in a tornado that claimed the life of her sister, nine-year-old. She couldn’t contain her joy after she received boxes of Christmas presents from Melania and Donald Trump.
An enthusiastic Avalinn Rackley, 7, reacted to the news when filmed by her grandmother, Pam Moore, weeks after her older sister and best friend Annistyn was killed by a tornado that also destroyed the family home in Caruthersville, Missouri on December 10.
“These boxes arrived in the mail and are from…President Trump!” These are both the boxes. Can you believe it?’ Moore says it as Avalinn smiles in expectation.
“Oh My God!” The brave, little girl shouts with joy while wearing a brace on her back and matching Christmas oneies. Trent Rackley was also there. Avalinn, like Alana, sustained minor injuries.
Meghan Rackley (Avalinn’s mom) is in the midst of a slow recovery from severe brain trauma. She has since been able to wake up from her coma, and she can say her mother’s name.


Avalinn, seven years old, was enthusiastic when her grandmother Pam Moore filmed her reaction to the news. This happened weeks after Annistyn, her best friend and older sister, died in a tornado which also destroyed their family home. Trent Rackley, Avalinn’s father, was present with Avalinn and her matching Christmas onesies. Avalinn suffered only minor injuries.

We are inspired by the courage and determination that you showed during this extremely difficult time. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as your recovery continues,’ the letter stated.
Donald and Melania Trump received a package. The package contained hats, blankets, American Girl Dolls (signed by Donald Trump), books, American Girl Dolls (signed by Melania and Trump), pens and bracelets. Moore shared the Christmas Day video on Facebook along with the clip of Avalinn discovering about the gifts.
Moore posted the heartfelt letter that he and his spouse wrote Moore to help the child through this trying time.
“We’re so inspired by your courage and determination in this extremely difficult time. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as your recovery continues,’ read the letter.
“Your future potential can be unlimited with your strong spirit, the support of your family, friends and unwavering strength.
Avalinn’s mother, After her family said Meghan needed to recover from her injuries after she was injured, Meghan is now in recovery.
“It was so sweet for my momma to hear my name being uttered. She’s a fierce fighter. Moore wrote about her daughter’s progress on December 23, stating that she is determined to keep improving each day.

Avalinn will also be drawing a heart to a photo of Annistyn and herself on Sunday. Annistyn died in the devastating tornadoes on December 10.
A tornado that tore through the Caruthersville home of the girls, Alanna (3 years old) and Trey (their parents) flung them into a field. Annistyn (9 year-old) was killed and Avalinn (2 and 3 respectively were severely wounded).
After more than 30 tornadoes ravaged Kentucky, Missouri, and three other states early December and killed at least 90 people, the Rackley family’s plight was captured on camera. Their attempt to shelter failed, and tragedy ensued.
After a successful surgery to repair a fractured vertebrae, Avalinn took a steady and slow walk across the hospital. Her family cheered as she found strength in their loss.

After a string of tornadoes that struck five states, the family’s home was one of many destroyed.
Trey (37 years old) and Alanna (37) suffered more minor injuries, but were released from hospital.
Meghan, 32-years-old, suffered severe brain trauma after falling into a state of coma. She was admitted to St Louis Hospital.
Avalinn is making great progress since her surgery, but there’s still a lot to do before she can fully heal. A back brace will be required for her future.
‘I keep trying to wake up from this nightmare,’ she said, adding that Avalinn – Ava – is in good spirits but ready to come home.
Moore called Ava “the bravest little girls” in a Facebook posting.
“She is the one who won everybody’s hearts in this hospital.
“She is so strong. She is supported by her sister Anni. It’s there, she said.
Hooker added of the two young girls’ relationship: ‘They were very close, obviously, just two years apart. The two shared a bed.
“There’s so much tragedy involved with this.


Avalinn began learning how to walk again after completing back surgery. Avalinn will be required to use a back brace in the future.

After Annistyn’s death, Avalinn is now recovering.

The family was located by emergency responders who took them to the nearest hospital. Avalinn said that he had been flying in the tornado, so he asked Jesus for help. He did and then the tornado tore me into the mud.
Hooker stated that Annistyn’s doll was found in the photograph by searchers after an after-hours prayer vigil.
Hooker stated that Annistyn loved it and called it Baby MawMaw.
“They brought Baby MawMaw with them to me. I am cleaning her up.” [Avalinn]She said she could have Baby MawMaw.
It is continuing to support the family by creating a crowdfunding page that will help pay for funeral and medical expenses.
Annistyn’s loved ones recall that she was full of energy and joy despite having been fighting a rare disorder that affects the liver.
Her cheerleading contests were often dressed in cute costumes. She also practiced cartwheels as well the splits. And she learned new TikTok dancing moves.
Hooker called Hooker a special angel’
The aunt stated, “I would gasp because she could perform the splits all of the time and she would just smile,” “She was a great dancer.”

Hooker recovered one Annistyn’s beloved dolls, Baby MawMaw MawMaw from the rubble of their house.
