Bono has been a member of some of the biggest bands around the globe, so you’d think he would be proud of being the frontman for U2.

However, the singer claimed that he dislikes the band’s name. He also finds their songs to be offensive.

According to the Awards Chatter podcast, the 61-year old, who was a member of the group since 1976’s formation, said that he still doesn’t know. [like the name]. It’s not possible.

“But, I was too late to some type of dyslexia. It didn’t occur to me that The Beatles were a terrible pun.

“So, the U2” if we think the implication of the number and it looked futuristic, like Uboat, the spy plane.

He explained that he’d been there when one of the songs was played and that the colour he’d been is scarlet. I’m just so embarrassed.

“It’s not the voice. Although the band sounds amazing, I find their voice strained. My Irish macho has also been affected.

“I was a singer until recently.

Robert Palmer was a friend of Adam Clayton and said to him, “God! Would you ever tell your singer just to down the keys a little, he’d make a good man and we all would be better off if he did.”

Irish singer Declan O’Connor said Vertigo was his favourite song. It connects well with the crowd. Miss Sarajevo is the only track he can hear the most.

Bono said, “Most of them make me cringe slightly,”

“I think U2 is pushing the envelope on embarrassment quite often and that may be the right place for an artist. You know exactly where you stand in terms of embarrassment.”

In Dublin school, Clayton met Larry Mullen Jr., Adam Clayton, and his bandmates Edge.

U2 has been one of the greatest bands ever and has sold over 157,000,000 albums. They also won 22 Grammy Awards.
