Do you have grey nails, lips, or skin? US doctors say it could be an ’emergency warning sign of Covid’ – but NHS DOESN’T warn people about unusual symptom

  • It is a possible warning sign, according to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention
  • These are just a few of the possible Covid symptoms it offers
  • However, the NHS continues to only recognize three symptoms of this virus in spite of extensive research

The US medical community believes that grey nails, lips and skin could indicate Covid.

According to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, discolouration is a sign that you should get immediate medical attention.

It has been recognized by American health officials as an indication that someone requires urgent medical care since the outbreak of the pandemic. However, Omicron claims have suggested it could be a sign Omicron is experiencing.

The CDC recognises more than 11 symptoms — including headache, sore throat and nausea — as a possible Covid symptom, and lists dozens more as potential signs.

However, the NHS only recognizes 3 symptoms of Covid as signs and warning signs. These are fever, new constant cough and loss of smell or taste.

The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lists the discolouration as an indication that someone should seek immediate medical care

Centres for Disease Control and Prevention lists discolouration among the signs that an individual should get immediate medical treatment.

However, there have been studies done in the UK that show vaccines can ‘change the game’ and lead to milder symptoms for more people infected.

NHS doesn’t consider gray lips, skin, or nails to be a warning sign for the flu that requires urgent medical attention.

This warning is for children who have pale, blotchy and blue skin.

Which are the most important Covid symptoms?

These are key signs of Covid, according to ZOE (health data science company) and King’s College London researchers.

Many people are suffering from milder diseases due to vaccines, according to them.

These are the symptoms:

  • Sneezing;
  • Headache;
  • Nose runny;
  • Persisting loss of taste and smell
  • Cough;
  • Fever;
  • Itchy throat.

According to the CDC, greyish-colored lips, skin and nails can be a sign that Covid is present in guidance last February.

This was also listed as trouble breathing, pressure or persistent pain in the chest, confusion, and inability or willingness to get up.

According to the agency, if someone shows any of these symptoms, they should seek immediate medical attention.

Gray skin and red lips are signs of low blood oxygen or poor blood circulation.

You may experience serious health problems, such as heart disease, asthma or pneumonia.

This symptom is most likely to appear in later stages of the Covid infection.

Gray nails may indicate an iron deficiency. This could mean that vital organs are not getting enough oxygen.

These can also occur from injuries, frequent smoking, fungal infections, and hands frequently being in contact with water.

The NHS list — which has come in for regular criticism about its short list of symptoms — only lists three possible signs.

However, surveillance that involved more than 1 million Britons has revealed 4 other important symptoms.

A ZOE Covid symptom survey says that in addition to the main NHS symptoms, sore throat and runny eyes, headache, sneezing, and sneezing are also signs of Covid.

According to them, “Many people are unaware of the signs we need to be aware of.”

“This can lead to people mistakingly thinking they have a common cold when they may actually have Covid.
