Fourth grader Amerie Jo Garza was killed in an attack by Ramos on Tuesday morning. Ramos was reportedly carrying both a gun and an AR-15, according to cops.

Her grandmother, Berlinda Irene Arreola, said the 10-year-old was killed as she tried to phone 911 while sitting next to her best friend, who ended up ‘covered in her blood.’

Arreola said Ramos told the students and staffers inside the room, ‘You’re going to die,’ before opening fire – shooting her granddaughter dead as she tried to phone for help.

‘So the gunman went in and he told the children, ‘You’re going to die,’ Berlinda told The Daily Beast.

‘And [Amerie]Her phone was on her and she called 911. He shot her instead of trying to grab it, break it, or take it away. Her best friend was right beside her. The blood of her best friend covered her.

Uziyah Garcia (age eight), was the youngest victim of the attack.

Hours after the family had announced that the tragedy left many other children unaccounted, they said the boy was dead.

The boy’s grandfather, Manny Renfro, broke the news early Wednesday after being notified by authorities.

‘[He was]Renfro described Renfro as the “sweetest little boy I have ever known.” Renfro said, “He was my grandkid. I’m saying it because of that.”

Renfro recalls how Uziyah first visited him in San Angelo during spring break.

“We started to throw the football together. I was showing him passing patterns.

The grieving grandfather said, “Such a quick little boy, he could catch the ball so well,”

“There were certain plays that I thought he’d remember, and he’d do them exactly the same way we did it.”

Makenna Elrod (10 years old) was also among those who were missing after the massacre. Her father Brandon Elrod told reporters that he worried she might not be here.

A family friend confirmed her death on Wednesday. The girl’s father, KTRK reported that he was saddened by the state of this world after the shooting.

Makenna’s mom posted her grief on Facebook by a mother to one of Makenna’s close friends. 

“Sweet Makenna Rest In Paradise!” It breaks my heart that Chloe, my daughter loved Chloe so deeply! The mom wrote. On Wednesday, a relative confirmed the fact that the little girl was among those who were killed.

Xavier Lopez (10 years old) was first victim of Ramos.

Felicha Martinez was the child’s mom. She told The Washington Post Tuesday The mother had just arrived at school hours prior to the attack and was there to witness her son’s participation. A ceremony honoring the members of the Honor Roll 

She captured a photograph of her son and his certificate.

The mother told her son that she was proud of him.

‘He was funny, never serious and his smile… that smile I will never forget,’ she recalled after learning of his death from police. It would cheer up anyone.

Lisa Garza (54), Xavier’s cousin from Arlington said that Xavier loved swimming and was looking forward to summer.

She said that he was a happy 10-year-old boy who was enjoying his life and didn’t know this would be his last day. 

“He loved dancing with his siblings, and was bubbly,” said his mother. It has taken its toll on us all.

Lopez’s grandmother Amelia Sandoval said that it was hard for Lopez to go to school believing they would make it home.

Eliahana Cruz Torres (10) had been missing for many hours, until finally she was found among the dead.

Adolfo Cruz was her great-grandfather. She said that she did not want to go to school on the day of shooting, but her family told her she must.

He stated that he had stayed outside of the school’s gates until the morning, when he heard about her fate from local authorities.

He stated that he hoped she was still alive at the time. 

Torres enjoyed playing baseball in his youth and participated in local Little Leagues.

Ellie Lugo was identified as the victim of Tuesday’s attack by her parents. Steven Garcia, Jennifer Lugo and Jennifer Lugo confirmed her passing several hours after her missing status was updated. 

‘It’s hard to issue out a statement on anything right now my mind is going at 1000 miles per hour… but I do wanna send our thoughts and prayers to those who also didn’t make it home tonight!!! Steven Lugo spoke Wednesday about Ellie, describing her as a sweet and happy girl.

Nevaeh Bravo was confirmed to be among the dead late Tuesday, after her cousin posted on social media following the shooting to ask for helping the girl. 

At 9:15 pm she tweeted the breaking news.

She wrote, “Unfortunately my lovely Nevaeh died today in the tragedy,”

Sje stated that the schoolchild was “flying high” and requested for people to keep the family in their prayers.  

Our Nevaeh is found. They are flying together with angels. We are so proud of you, Princess Navaeh.

She said, “Thank you for all your help and support.” “Rest in peace, sweetie. This is not what you deserve.”

Bravo’s age cannot be immediately confirmed.

Faith Mata’s sister Tess Marie Mata revealed that Tess Marie Mata also died in the attack in a Facebook post Wednesday.

She said, “I really have no words but sadness, confusion, anger,”

“I am sad that we won’t get to tag-team on dad and mom again, I’m also confused by how this could happen to my beautiful, loving sister and I’m mad because you were taken from me by a coward.”

The photos shared along with this post featured Tess in baby photos, cuddling with a cat and doing gymnastics. She also flashed a peace sign while posing before a large mural of hearts.

“Sissy, I’m so sorry, but I’m still missing you. I’d like to hug you and tell how beautiful you are. I’d love to see you play softball. I’d also like to have one more family vacation. I’d love to hear you laugh and to tell you how much my heart loves you.

It was not possible to confirm her age immediately.

Rojelio Torres (10 years old) was reported as missing at first by his father. However, his family confirmed his death on Wednesday.

Twitter user claiming to be the cousin of the boy wrote: “It breaks mine to say that my rojelio has now joined the angels. I will forever love and miss you, my angel.”

Federico Torres told Houston reporters his father, Federico Torres. Federico was working when the news broke about the shooting. Federico raced right to the school.

He stated, “They sent them to the hospitals, to San Antonio’s civic center and to the hospital again. “They didn’t give us any information, but a photograph, so we wait and hope everything goes well.

A little over half an hour later, the cops announced the good news to the family.

Precious perez, Torres aunt, said, “Our whole family waited nearly 12 hours after the shooting to discover that Rojelio Torres was murdered in this tragedy.” We are shocked and broken. Rojer was intelligent, dedicated and helpful. Rojer will be greatly missed and not forgotten.

Jayce Luevanos (10 years old) and Jailah (ten year-old cousin), were both killed in the shooting. The child’s mother spoke Wednesday.

Unberto Gonzalez, uncle shared photographs of the children and offered a moving tribute in a Facebook post.

“My children are going crazy for them!”!,’ Gonzalez wrote. We love you guys so very much! Right now, I am just confused! My beautiful Angels, Fly High!

Jailah Nicole Silguero, ten-year-old, was also shot dead in the incident. Her mother, Veronica Luevanos cried to Univision Wednesday.

Jayce, Jayce’s 10-year-old nephew was also among those who were killed by the tragedy.

Jailah was a dancer and filmmaker, according to her.

The mother, now grieving, reportedly asked the child to ask her daughter if she would mind staying home after the shooting. 

“I brought her to school but she refused to go. Her father asked her, “Can you stay at home?” Luevanos responded, noting that such an unusual request was rare for her daughter. “I’m sure she expected something to happen.”

Luevanos’ mom shared the news via Facebook Wednesday.

“Fly high, my angels. We are going to miss you all so much,” wrote Veronica Luevanos, whose father had just died a week before.

With a photograph of her niece and nephew, she said that “I’m so devastated”, 

‘My baby I love u so much … fly high baby girl.’

 Fourth grader Alithia Ramirez was confirmed dead early Wednesday by her father, Ryan Ramirez, who shared a post to Facebook showing the 10-year-old with angel’s wings. The same photo was used by Ryan Ramirez to plead for her rescue after the attack.

The same photograph had been used by him the day before as he tried desperately to find her.

“Trying to find Alithia my daughter. “I called all hospitals but nothing,” he said at that time.

He reported, “I’m trying out to find where my baby is at.”

Annabell Guadalupe Rodriguez (10 years old) was also killed Tuesday by Ramos – together with her cousin who is yet to be identified.

Annabell was lost in the frantic search of her father after the shooting. 

He spoke to KHOU11 Tuesday and lamented about how lost he felt, not knowing what to do or having had little luck with his search.

They won’t allow us to enter the hospital for now, so we aren’t sure where to go.

 She has since been declared to be among the dead.

Miranda Mathis, 11,  was also confirmed as another casualty from the mass shooting early Wednesday, in a Facebook post by an older cousin who earlier that day had posted a desperate plea for help in locating the child.

Deanna Miller added, “My sweet cousin we loved you dearly,” to a photograph of her child wearing angel wings.

She said, “I am so sorry that this happened to you baby. Please keep my family in prayer.”

Miller’s family was also at the school when the shooting occurred, however they were able to escape the tragedy.

According to one of her sons, he said that he and his brother were taken out of their home by security staff during the attack. They then fled to a funeral home nearby after hearing the gunman say that he wanted all of them dead.

Alexandria Aniyah Rubio, better known as “Lexi” to her friends, was declared dead on Tuesday just before midnight.

A ten year-old boy was killed in an apparent suicide. Just hours after taking a picture with her parents during the honors roll ceremony at school, she was back in action.

Kimberly Mata-Rubio (the girl’s mom) wrote: “My beautiful, intelligent, Alexandria Aniyah Rubio received All-A honor rolls today. The good citizen award was also presented to her. We said we loved her, and promised to pick her up at school. It was the end of our relationship.

Maite Yuleana, a student who had just attended an honor roll ceremony hours earlier, was also among those killed in the attack.

Ana Rodriguez, Ana’s cousin, reported the news Wednesday. 

“It is with heavy hearts that I speak on behalf Ana, my cousin who was tragically killed in the yesterday’s shooting.  

“We are profoundly saddened at the loss.” [sic] of this sweet smart little girl…. God Bless and May she R.I.P Maite Rodriguez, we love you.

A relative sent Maite a picture of her with her honors roll certificate.

It was not possible to confirm her age immediately.

Jose Flores (10) was also fatally shot after attending an honor roll ceremony. There, he was seen triumphantly clutching the certificate.

Uncle Christopher Salazar, who shared a Facebook tribute to his child with him on Wednesday, confirmed that his 10-year old nephew was among the deceased to The Washington Post.

Salazar said in the blog post, “I love you” and “I miss you.”  

CNN’s Jose was described by his father as an extraordinary boy who is a big brother to his younger siblings.

Jose Flores Sr. stated that he was “always full of energy.” Ready to play all night.

He claimed that the boy was a big fan of video games and playing baseball.

Jackie Cazares (10 years old) was also killed in the attack on the elementary school.

Her father Jacinto confirmed she lost her life inside her fourth-grade classroom.

The grieving father posted online that his baby girl had been stolen from him and my family.

“We are devastated in ways that I wish no one has to experience. … It is a terrible thing that hurts our souls.

Cazares claimed that Cazares’ daughter was alive and well with Annabell Rodriguez when she passed away.

Layla Salazar, 10

This 10-year old student was last victim of the assassination.

Vincent Salazar claimed to the Philadelphia Inquirer that his daughter, aged just six years old, was one of those who were killed.

He claimed she was “a lot fun” and remembered how they used to sing ‘Sweet Children O’ Mine’ from Guns & Roses when he drove them to school.

Mireles was 23-year-old Irma Garca, and Mireles is her coteacher for the past five years. 

Married to Joe for 24 years, she was a mother of four – Cristian, completing Marine boot camp; Jose, attending Texas State university University; Lyliana, a sophomore in high school; and Alysandra, a 7th grader. 

John, her nephew, tweeted that “My tia didn’t make it. She sacrificed herself to protect the children in her class, so i beg you to keep me and my family, including her entire family, in y’all’s prayers. IRMA GARCIA IS HER NAME and she died a HERO.” 

“She will be deeply missed by all. She was beloved and loved by so many.

Trinity University nominated her as Teacher of the Year for its 2018-19 Awards. 

Eva Mireles (44 – Fourth Grade Teacher)

Eva Mireles (a fourth grade teacher) was one of the victims. The 17-year-old had been in the education field for seventeen years. 

Ruben Ruiz (Rubin’s husband), a SWAT member, veteran detective, and currently serves as a Police Officer with the School District, conducted regular active-shooter drills in schools, the most recent at the end March.
