“She will continue to be a registered sexual offender for the rest of her life.”
The East Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit Detective Sergeant Michaela Haddock stated that Taylor was between 32-33 years old when the offences occurred.
“The court was informed that she had been in a relationship with a vulnerable, 15-year old boy. For several weeks, she communicated with him by mobile phones. He then came to her on two separate occasions.
This was a disturbing case where the boy was sexually abused and groomed to perfection by someone who he trusted.
Following a six-day trial at Chichester Crown Court (pictured), Taylor was convicted on December 2.
His extraordinary courage in giving evidence is commendable. This was a crucial factor in the unanimous verdict of the jury.
“The sentence is a reflection of Taylor’s irreparable damage to this child’s mental health, but it should allow Taylor to make positive decisions about his future.
