A woman in her 60s is eaten alive by at least two dogs within the home.

  • The area is being cordoned and there’s a significant service response.

According to police, a 60-year-old woman was mauled by at least two dogs in her home.

Police were dispatched to Vauxhall’s St Brigids Crescent, Liverpool at 4.25pm this afternoon after a 60-year-old woman was attacked by her dog.

The woman was declared dead by North West Ambulance Service.

Merseyside Police officers have also been informed.

At around 4.25pm today, police were called to a property on St Brigids Crescent in Vauxhall, Liverpool, where a woman in her 60s had been attacked by dogs

Around 4.25 PM today police responded to calls from Vauxhall Police regarding a home on St Brigids Crescent where a lady in her 60s was being attacked by dogs.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue firefighters and North West Ambulance Service paramedics were both called. 

An iron cordon is in place from Vauxhall Road up to Alderney Road. 

The officers appear to have been grouped together around the side streets of houses. The scene also has forensic officers.

Detective Inspector Gavin Mulcahy stated that he understood the shock this incident would cause within the community as well as the wider world. 

“Our officers are on the scene conducting further inquiries so please let us have more information.”
