The NHS denied breast reduction to a businesswoman who grew seven sizes of her bras in only three years. She also suffered severe pain.
Beth Coldrick (37), a Dorset woman, went 34D to 40D in her bra sizes. This was due to medication for Ulcerative Collitis and Crohn’s Disease.
The NHS has denied her three attempts to reduce her breast size, despite the fact that her large breasts are causing her severe anxiety and physical pain.
She has already had four life-changing operations for IBD that cost more than £70,000 but now Ms Coldrick is trying to crowdfund £7,000 to get the reduction done privately so she can live pain-free.

She had to take drugs and steroids including prednisolone and vedolizumab for 40 weeks out of each year for three years as she had Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease, collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Pictured is Ms Coldrick with her 40HH chest after 3 years.

Ms Coldrick is a Dorset-based entrepreneur who owns a skin care business. It was necessary to undergo surgery, and today I have a Stoma.
“Because I’ve been taking all the steroids and drugs for so many years, my breasts have gotten larger in the past three years.
“I am left with a big chest which causes me severe neck and back pain.
Ms Coldrick is pictured in the beginning of the increase. She has had anxiety due to her large breasts. MailOnline spoke to her frustration that the NHS had not allowed her to reduce her breasts in an effort relieve the mental and physical pain.

My breasts are mainly made up of breast tissue. Therefore, there is no chance that they will shrink.
“I’m in constant pain. It’s really depressing. It affects my confidence.
“It is because of my breasts that I am crippled.
As her breasts increased, Ms Coldrick needed to purchase new bras approximately every 8 months. Her breasts weighed in at 3.3kg when she was 40 hr tall.
According to her, all of her doctors thought it was absurd that she had not been offered a cut by the NHS.

Ms Coldrick, despite her positive outlook, admitted that she struggled to find the light at end of the tunnel after being left with breasts around 3.3kg.
She said, “I need to have my breasts reduced because it is so painful.”
‘I am fuming. It is just unfair that I am suffering.
“It’s not logical. This really frustrates my.
“I don’t mean to criticize the NHS, but they’re so out of date.”
She said, “My final and fourth surgery was a Proctectomy. It meant that my Stoma has irreversible. I have had to totally change my lifestyle, diet, and work habits.
The NHS should allow breast reductions for her and other women like her, to enable her to continue living without suffering from crippling pain.
Ms. Coldrick is the owner of a Dorset-based skincare business (pictured). Her chronic illness, her surgeries, recovery periods, and feeling’medically ignored’ all led her to be prescribed antidepressants.
“The effects on me financially and mentally have been enormous.
“I struggle to manage my business, which means I have to be at my desk all day making organic skincare products.
“The chronic illness, multiple surgeries and periods of recovery combined with feeling ignored by doctors has caused me to receive anti-depressants. I’m really trying to find the light at end of the tunnel.
