If you’re a fan of the Grinch, we’ve got great news for you – you can now stay in the grouchy creature’s cave this festive season.
The flight will be required across the country, as the holiday getaway is located in Boulder, Utah, high up in the mountains.
Dr. Seuss created The Grinch as a book about a Grumpy Monster who Hates Christmas.

This will likely require you to fly across the country. The festive escape is located in Boulder Utah in a cave high up on a mountain.

Dr. Seuss wrote The Grinch, a story about a Grumpy Monster who Hates Christmas. Max lived with him in the cave outside of Whoville, a happy and joyful fictional community.

It was first published in 1957. The book was made into a film in 2000, and it has been remade again in 2018.

For less than $20 per night, now you can live in Dr. Seuss’ world.

The home is designed to look just like the Grinch’s, and it even has a recreation of the famous music room – complete with the Grinch’s organ and dog Max’s drum set

A few of his beloved green furry trousers are still in there. There’s also a red robe with the initials ‘G’ embossed on it.

There are also pairs of socks with fuzzy green socking – for families to dress up in monster costumes if necessary

You’ll also find many Whoville-inspired foods in the kitchen like roast beast, Whopudding, and Who-hash.

The cave’s front is protected by a glass wall, which allows guests to look outside and enjoy the stunning views of Utah.
You will also find a master bedroom and a guest room, as well as several bathrooms that are filled with things from the film.
You’ll also find many Whoville-inspired foods in the kitchen like roast beast, Whopudding, and Who-hash.
You can also search the entire house for Grinch-related gadgets such as his coffee maker and other Who-contraptions.
Open up the cupboard and you’ll find a pair of his famous green furry pants. In true Grinch style, the cupboard does not have a TV or internet.
An open-air glass wall is located at the entrance of the cave. It allows visitors to see beautiful views of Utah.


A main bedroom is also available, along with a guest bedroom. There are also several bathrooms which can be filled with things from the film.

There are many details in the house that remind you of the film, including Max’s bed.


You will find a number of bookshelves in the study as well as a chess set and a telescope.

You can also search the entire house for Grinch-related gadgets such as his coffee maker and other Who-contrations.

The Grinch disguised himself as Santa Claus to try and ruin Christmas. In the film, he made his own Christmas dress and there’s a sewing machine in the home.

This rocky home, hand-carved into the rock side of a huge stone mountain, is available for rent from December 13 to 23.
You can stay for as low as $19.57 per night. The cost is an homage to 1957’s initial release.
