These victims belonged to a group consisting of eight skiers who were climbing a slope on Saturday, in Salzburg’s Tweng region.

Regional police released a statement saying that the two survivors were partly submerged by the avalanche. However, they were able escape.
Two of the victims were located by rescuers using search devices.
Both had died before the second, and both died in Klagenfurt.
Because he was not wearing any search devices, the third victim was found four hours later.
Two injured skiers were transported to nearby hospitals.
