Smokey Robinson urged everyone to “protect” themselves and those they love after the near death battle with COVID-19.
Motown’s legend was admitted for 11 days in hospital last year after contracting the coronavirus. He was afraid he will never be able to sing again.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he said: ‘I am very happy to share [my story]COVID comes up because it’s a good idea and I hope that it will help somebody. It’s not clear how it happened. It was all I knew is that I saw it and realized how to get it.
Music legend said that it was “a terrible, horrible thing” and that while going through it, I wasn’t thinking about the possibility of never getting out alive from this hospital. It wasn’t like that. Just thinking about. [how]”I had to pull myself together.”
Star of Miracle in Motor City, the Miracle in Motor City actor admitted that he is scared by his severe condition. However, he feels God has blessed him with the strength to live the story.

He said: ‘Protect yourself and those that you love because it is a real killer and it’s a horrible thing to have to go through.
Although some people deal with it gently, you’re talking to someone who has been through it all. So when you go through it like that it’s a really rough health thing to overcome… [if it wasn’t]By the grace and mercy of God, I wouldn’t be here talking with you guys.
Smokey quickly returned to work, and has no plans of retiring.

Robinson, 2019, pictured 2019, stated that he wouldn’t quit soon and was “miserable for 3 years” when he retired.
He confessed that he tried retirement from it once and felt miserable for the next three years.
He explained that he couldn’t find any replacement for it.
You know what? Even though I’m older, people still ask me why I do this. It’s a job I love, and I enjoy doing it.
