Adele, who has been waiting over six years for new music, saw her fans come out in large numbers for her fourth studio album 30, already the most-sold album of 2021.
Five days following the highly publicized 2-hour Special Adele One Night Only on CBS with more than 10,000,000 viewers, the album was made available on November 19.
New reports by MRC Data (via Billboard), reveal that the album has sold more than 500,000 copies in three days. It already beat Taylor Swift’s Evermore (4699,000 copies) to be the most-sold album this year.

Even though Evermore was not released until December 2020, sales of the album were strong throughout the year. Adele’s 30 sold out in just days.
This three-day total is already enough to make 2021 the most successful week, beating Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version) by 369,000 copies.
As of now, 30’s album equivalent units – which includes traditional album sales, streaming equivalent album (SEA) units and track equivalent album (TEA) units – is well over 575,000.
Biggest sales week: The three-day tally is also already good enough for the biggest sales week of 2021, surpassing Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version), which sold 369,000 copies in the week ending November 19
The Billboard 200 Albums will see 30 as the top-selling album for the week, making it the 33-year old singer’s third #1 album.
Her 2011 album 21 spent 24 weeks atop the album charts, while her 2015 album 25 spent 10 weeks atop the Billboard 200.
Current tracking ends November 25, and the official first week album numbers will be available on November 28.
