Staff at the airport find a new baby boy in the plane’s toilet box. A woman aged 20 is taken into custody in connection to this incident










Unborn baby was found in an airplane toilet bowl in Mauritius. 

The infant boy was discovered in the baggage bin of the plane that flew from Madagascar to Mauritius on New Year’s Day. 

In connection to the incident, a 20-year old woman from Madagascar was arrested.

BBC reports that the woman arrived on Mauritius to work for two years. She was then taken to a medical check which revealed she had been pregnant.  

According to the service, she also allegedly “initially denied” that the boy was hers. 

The baby was taken to the hospital after the boy was discovered by customs officials at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.

The hospital is treating the boy well.
