Alex Baldwin claimed that the Rust cinematographer was a friend of his and that he took his wife to dinner with him on the first day. He also said that he stopped by photographers in Vermont to chat to them.

Baldwin was with Hilaria, his wife. The couple appeared to be filming the interaction when they pulled over to speak with photographers in Manchester, Vermont.

The couple spoke to the photographer for roughly four minutes where he claimed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, was his friend.

‘A woman died,’ he exasperated. “She was my friend, and she was my friend.”

He said, “The day I arrived in Santa Fe for shooting, I took her to dinner at Joel, the director.” “We were a very, extremely well-oiled crew filming a film together when this terrible event occurred.”

Baldwin stated to photographers that he was ‘ordered’ not to speak about the investigation by Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office, but that he is ‘eagerly waiting for the sheriff’s office to release his findings.

He also claimed that he talks to cops every single day.

Hilaria was quite upset when Hutchins asked her for her name. She then yelled at photographers, ‘you should know my name’.

‘Halyna, her name is Halyna. If you are spending so much time waiting …’ before the couple finished together, you should know her full name.

Baldwin was asked how he would describe his meeting with Hutchins’ son and husband, and he said that he didn’t know how.

Hutchins’ 38 year-old husband Matthew, a lawyer with whom Hutchins shares an eight year-old son, told DailyMail.com, October 22, that he had spoken to Alec Baldwin and was supportive.

It seems that the weight of the death of the cinematographer and the media storm Baldwin has endured since have taken a toll upon the couple.

Hilaria interacted with photographers while Baldwin tried to get an answer about Hutchins’ family. Baldwin then escorted her away again, and she angrily responded: “You know what, no detail.”

Baldwin claimed Hutchins' death was 'one in a trillion' before saying 'probably billions' of gunshots have gone off 'without incident' on filmsets in America without 'incident'

Baldwin claimed Hutchins was dead at ‘one in a billion’. He then said that ‘probably trillions’ of gunshots have been fired on American film sets ‘without incident’.

He replied, “Do me an favor, I’m going be answering the questions.”

He said that Hutchins’ wife is ‘overwhelmed by grief’.

Matthew, the eight-year-old son of the couple, and Andros, the only son, were seen collecting multiple pieces from the curb yesterday after a limousine dropped it at their Venice Beach, California home.

According to reports, the items were delivered to the couple’s house by a limousine driver on Thursday. The delivery occurred exactly one week following the death of the mother. It was believed that the delivery was a return of Halyna’s belongings to her home in New Mexico.

Baldwin stated that he was a strong supporter of ‘new measures’ to ensure safety. He called the event ‘one-in-a trillion’.

“How many bullets were fired in films and tv shows over the past 75 years?” he questions photographers.

“This is America. He said that it was likely billions. “And almost all of them without incident.

He stated that there should be “new measures” for “when something does go wrong” on film sets, but it wasn’t up to him to decide.

He said, “It’s urgent that you understand that I’m not an expert in this area.” It’s upto ‘whoever other people decide’.

After they spoke out of courtesy, the couple asked photographers to stop following their children. He said that his children were ‘crying in the backseat’ after being harassed and harassed by photographers.

Hutchins was killed on October 21 by Baldwin, who pointed and fired at her a pistol during a scene.

DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that the Colt pistol was the gun that killed Hutchins.

Alec Baldwin was handling the vintage gun on the set of Rust in Santa Fe, New Mexico, when it accidentally discharged – killing the mom-of-one and wounding director Joel Souza.

DailyMail.com has obtained a callsheet indicating that Baldwin was involved in a mock gunfight in the Bonanza Ranch church building when Hutchins was shot.

Co-stars Jensen Ackles, Swen Temmel and Travis Hammer were also in the scene – numbered 121 – alongside Baldwin’s stunt double Blake Teixeira and stunt coordinator Allan Graf.

Production notes indicate that the Colt pistol, although one of many weapons on set at the same time, was the only one used for 121 and 118.

Hutchins was behind the camera while the scene was being filmed on October 21. 'Anytime you see a movie where the barrel is pointed down the camera lens, there should not be an operator behind it. It's obvious that the considerations of this resulted in that gun being pointed directly at two people,' Zak Knight, a pyrotechnic and special effects engineer told DailyMail.com on October 22

Experts say that Baldwin did not follow the golden rule of gun safety when he pointed the prop at someone. However, experts agree that the gun should never have been loaded with live ammunition.

Zak Knight, a pyrotechnic and special effects engineer who is a member of Local 44, told DailyMail.com on October 22:  ‘There should have never been live rounds on a movie set, that’s number one. Number two states that everyone on a movie set is entitled to inspect the weapon before it fires. Number three is that there is no reason for anyone to ever be in direct contact with a weapon that is firing.

“A barrel pointed down the lens of a movie should be seen without an operator. It is obvious that this gun was pointed directly at two people.

Baldwin’s movie crew were already concerned about gun safety prior to shooting and killing Hutchins. According to reports, the prop master responsible for the firearm that killed Hutchins had just joined the crew after a walkout with the union.

Friday’s search warrant revealed that Baldwin was handed a gun with live rounds by an assistant director. The warrant also indicated that it was safe to use during the shooting.

The warrant indicated that a single bullet struck Hutchins in the chest, and then struck director Joel Souza in the shoulder as he was standing behind her, injuring him, suggesting the bullet traveled all the way through Hutchins’ body.

Unionized workers had left the set hours prior to the fatal shooting after complaining about long hours and poor conditions.

Baldwin stated to the photographer that he didn’t believe production would resume.
