Reports indicate that Eamonn Holmes, who has been presenting This Morning for 15 years with Ruth Langsford is leaving the station.
Veteran broadcaster, 61 years old, will take up a job with GB News’, which will allow him to ‘front his own show many times per week’.
A source informed The Mirror that Eamonn’s exit came at the perfect moment for ITV and him, noting that “all good things must come to an end”.

Sources said that “Eamonn’s decision to move to GB News is the end for an era. ITV viewers will be sad to lose him.
MailOnline reached out to ITV News and GB News in order for comments, along with a representative from Eamonn.
Eamonn expressed hope that GB News will get a decent chance’ when it launched this year. The Mirror reports.

Eamonn’s decision is expected to put at risk Ruth’s This Morning slot, which she held for 61 years.
She is “unlikely” to keep the show’s airing without him, but she’s expected to still be on Loose Men.
Following a fourteen-year tenure, Ruth and Eamonn lost their jobs in December.

Reports: While Ruth is “unlikely” to leave the show, but was still ‘expected to continue on Loose Women,” according to reports.
On November 30, it was announced that Ruth and Eamonn (who fill in for Holly Willoughby on Fridays) had been removed from their weekly slot and were being replaced by Alison and Dermot.
Ruth and Eamonn sent the same statement at the time. It read, “It’s an changing of guard on Fridays starting January.” We wish you would make Alison und Dermot feel just as comfortable as you have over the years.

Alison, breaking her silence regarding the shake-up of The Morning after weeks and weeks of speculation said that she never dreamed that 19 years later when Alison joined This Morning for just a few months that she would be still there.

New of the This Morning reshuffle came just months after Eamonn was forced to apologise for saying it ‘suited the state narrative’ to dismiss bizarre theories that link 5G and the coronavirus.
He clarified that there was no link between 5G and the current national emergency. To suggest otherwise would have been wrong, and it might even be dangerous.
Eammon’s comment led to OFCOM receiving 419 complaints.
