Amanda Owen gives a peek into the idyllic Christmas of her family, including snowy walks on the farm and letters written to Santa by the fire. 

Amanda, mother-of-9, was able to spend Christmas with her family at Ravenseet’s 2,000-acre farm Ravenseet in Upper Swaledale. Amanda shared several festive photos via Instagram.  

While other children spent the holiday season eating chocolate and watching television, the shepherdess was busy with her children and feeding the sheep. 

The family were seen taking walks through their fields together, horse riding and helping out their mum as she treated some of their sheep throughout the festive period.

On Christmas Day, Amanda took a walk took a snowy walk through their fields with daughters Nancy, Annas, Raven and Clemmy who were carrying sheep feed

Amanda and her daughters Nancy, Raven, Raven, Clemmy, Raven, and Annas took a stroll through the fields on Christmas Day. They were all carrying sheep feed. 

Clive, her husband, was absent. He was reported to have moved in with his wife, but he was not there. His absence on Instagram does not usually mean he isn’t there. 

On Christmas Eve, Amanda shared adorable snaps of herself taking a walk through her fields with daughter’s Clemmie and Annas as sheep mill around behind waiting to be fed by the girls. 

The girls were also seen in another photo, dressed up in white gowns and throwing their Christmas letters into the flames.

On Boxing Day the family were seen going for a winter walk before Reuben enjoyed a ride on Hazel the horse and the family enjoyed a meal of chips, stew and leftover turkey.

On Christmas Day, Amanda shared adorable snaps of daughter Annas who who watched as she treated some sheep

Two of the sisters were seen cleaning out their stables and gathering firewood to light the family’s fireplace in the days before Christmas. 

Amanda, who stars with her family in Channel 5 ‘s hit show Our Yorkshire Farm, opted not to post images of her husband Clive – who typically stays out of the spotlight more than his wife. 

Their marriage was put under fire this autumn by neighbours who claimed Clive Owen, her husband, and the woman had been “living apart for months”. 

She remained silent at the time. Clive released a statement in which they stated that they were experiencing’stresses & strains’ as any other couple.

They pose together for photographs on a wintery stroll on their Yorkshire farm.

Amanda told the Yorkshire Post that she does not regret being part of her BBC2 programme. Amanda stated, “We are just a family dealing with every life throws at it and the program is life as its happening. That’s what keeps everybody grounded, no matter who’s filming it.” 

She continued: ‘It is hard work being a farmer and I will do everything it takes to provide for my family and that means having a lot of fingers in a lot of pies in order to make a living – you are damned if you do and you are damned if you don’t.’  

Amanda, her husband Clive of 21 years released an October joint statement stating that ‘like all marriages we have our stress and strains.’ However they added that their desire to “show the real life on the farm” through TV and book sales was always to do so.

She has previously spoken candidly on how ‘romance’ is not in her and Clive’s ‘make-up’ while revealing what she believes to be the secret to the pair’s 21-year marriage. 

OK! asked the shepherdess if her and her husband were romantic. magazine: I don’t think we are. It’s not in our makeup, I think. 

She said, “Everything that we do is interchangeable.” ‘Clive will serve afternoon tea and change nappies, I’ll shear sheep and shovel s**t. It doesn’t matter who does what, we’re all on the same side.’

Amanda complimented Clive on being a “hands-on” dad. She added, “At certain times of the year, it is all hands on deck. All tasks on farm are interchangeable.
