“We cannot allow that to happen. Please consider us an ally in this important cause.
It happened after Prince Charles hosted Lauren Sanchez and the businessman, along with his girlfriend, for tea after the G20 summit held in Rome on Sunday.
Sources claimed that the prince was instrumental in bringing Mr Bezos, Mr Macron together over the issue.
The founder of Amazon, Alexa, stated that he would match a previous contribution through his Bezos Earth Fund at a Cop26 event with the Prince of Wales.
The criticisms of the billionaire tycoon for flying to the summit in a private jet came just two days after he celebrated the 66th birthday Bill Gates on a superyacht.
He also faced criticism from climate activists and tacit disapproval of Prince William earlier this year after using a space project he funded.
Yesterday, Ms. Sanchez posted several photos of the ‘private meeting’ on her Instagram account.
The meeting was reportedly to discuss Bezos commitments ahead of the meeting.
Later, Bezos tweeted that the Prince of Wales had been involved in fighting climate changes and protecting our beautiful planet for far longer than others.
“We had the opportunity to discuss these important topics on the eve #COP26 – looking to find solutions to heal the world, and how @BezosEarthFund could help.
