The family of a Scottish teenager whose death is being investigated as a murder last night paid an emotional tribute to their ‘little ball of ginger light’.
Amber Gibson’s family flooded social media yesterday with messages of condolences and fond memories.
This comes just days after the 16 year old was discovered dead at her Hamilton home on Sunday.
Police have charged her brother, aged 19, with the murder of her daughter.
Amber Tran’s sister Laura wrote a heartfelt social media message in which she said she would forever love her 16-year-old brother. Then she added: “I wish I could’ve protected you.”
Lisa Murray, sister, posted heartfelt messages to say she’d remember her little pineapple head and joked fondly about the teenager’s singing.

The incident comes just days after her 16-year old brother (pictured above) was discovered dead at home in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. The police have now charged her 19-year old brother in connection to her death
Lisa stated that the family is devastated and complimented Amber’s smile for her ability to brighten up any room.
They shared photos and tributes to Amber in Happy Times on Facebook.
Carol Niven and Craig Niven changed Amber’s Facebook profile photos to pictures of Amber.
Laura added the following: “We will forever love you. I wish I could protect you..,” along with a photograph of Amber and Edward Tran.
Lisa changed her profile photo to one of her sisters, and wrote: “Love you my little pineapple head.”
Then, Amber posted a photo from school, with the words: ‘My beautiful sibling words, cannot describe how broken we are that you have passed.
You were our tiny ginger light, and you lit up every room. Although your singing skills were questionable, it was still something you loved to do.
‘We love you Amber, always.’

Lisa Murray, sister, posted heartfelt messages to say she’d remember her little pineapple head and joked fondly about the teenagers’ “questionable” singing.

Lisa changed her profile photo to one of her sisters, and wrote: “Love you my little pineapple head!”

These posts attracted hundreds of messages by social media users, who sent condolences and messages to the family.
Elaine Russell expressed her sorrow, saying: “I am so sorry. Sending all my love and support to your family.”
Caroline Scougal Gardiner wrote: “So sad, thinking about you all. Can’t imagine your pain.
Angie Stillie Kennedy Kennedy wrote: “This photo is how I recall Amber, a beautiful girl with that cheeky look, and thinking of all you at this very sad time.”
Christine Weir stated that her hearts were broken and she couldn’t understand what was happening.



Amber’s remains were found at Cadzow Glin in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire around 10.10am Sunday morning.
Her family reported her missing on Saturday from Hillhouse.
Last night, she was seen on Cadzow Street at 9:55pm.
Amber’s 19 year-old brother, Connor Gibson has been arrested by police for her death.
Police Scotland spokeswoman said, “We are able to confirm that the 19 year-old male who was taken into custody last night on Wednesday December 1st 2021 has been charged.”

The teenager was remembered with flowers and a card that said “may you rest in your peace, young angel.” Fly high
“A report will sent to the Procurator Fiscal. He will appear before Hamilton Sheriff Court Friday, December 3, 2021.
Investigators asked for any information to help them solve the mystery.
Raymond Brown (Det. Supt.) from Police Scotland’s largest investigation team said that the family was ‘absolutely devastated by’ her death.
Cadzow Glen is still sealed off by a strong police presence.

Moore House Academy, Bathgate, West Lothian was where the teenager studied.
