Arsenal Fan TV Star Mr.DT who tracked her ex-girlfriend’s mobile phone and attempted to kidnap it, has seen his ‘unduly lenient prison sentence increased to 3 years and was banned from appearing in public.
Following being convicted last November by Aylesbury Crown court of stalking with serious alarm or distress as well as kidnapping, Liam Goodenough (42) was originally sentenced to 12 month imprisonment. He also received a 10-year order for restraining.
However, the case was subsequently referred to the Court of Appeal by Solicitor General Alex Chalk QC MP to be reviewed under the unduly lenient sentence scheme.
The Mirror reports that the sentence was increased to 3 years imprisonment after an appeal on Thursday.
Following the hearing, Mr Chalk said that he had made the victim go through a terrifying and horrifying ordeal.
“I referred his sentence as it didn’t reflect the gravity and was too lighthearted. It is a pleasure to hear that the Court of Appeal has agreed.
Aylesbury Crown court previously heard that Goodenough had stalked his ex-partner when she was on a date. He sent messages to her brother threatening suicide and asking to find her location.
Liam Goodenough is better known by his nickname MrDT. The Court of Appeal has extended Liam Goodenough’s sentence to three years imprisonment.
Goodenough, a frequent fixture on AFTV, became well-known among fans for his rants regarding the football club
After driving to the hotel that the victim was staying in, he used the tracking feature of his cell phone to get there, and then assaulted her friend, according to court hearings.
Goodenough then pulled the victim from the hotel to his vehicle while suggesting that he was carrying a knife. The woman was also told by Goodenough that her son was in her car, according to the court.
After realizing her son wasn’t in the car, she managed to get out with help from a passerby.
MrDT. His regular rants on AFTV regarding the football club made him well-known.
His Twitter followers exceed 240,000 and he was last seen there on New Year’s Day.
AFTV, however, released a statement this morning expressing its disgust at his actions.
In the statement, it said: “This morning we were made aware of new information regarding DT. He was a regular contributor to AFTV up until July 2021.”
Today’s statement by AFTV confirmed that Goodenough won’t be returning to the channel.
“We are horrified and disgusted at his acts and condemn all domestic violence.
Despite the fact that DT made us aware about personal problems in his past, we are able to confirm that this information is not new.
AFTV’s DT made an appearance on January 1st, when we were unaware of the seriousness of his legal matter. All at AFTV are shocked by the recent developments.
“In light of this shocking news, DT won’t be allowed to air on the channel anymore.”
