A moving series of portraits has been created to remember women who were killed by men and raise money for charity.

British artist and illustrator Henny Beaumont, from London, painted all 118 women who were killed and murdered by men between March 2020 and March 2021, including sisters Sisters Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman, who were found stabbed to death in Fryent Country Park in Wembley, north-west London.

Beaumont claimed that she was inspired to create the series after MP Jess Phillips, who named all women who were killed by male violence in a passionate speech for International Women’s Day, March 8, 2020. This speech was made in the wake Sarah Everard’s murder.

Everard was abducted by Wayne Couzens and raped by him on March 3, was one of the 119 women who were murdered by Phillips’ similar speech in February 2019.

Beaumont, who is working with the Centre for Women’s Justice and the Femicide Census, has raised £9.548 for her series so far through her Just Giving page, said she wants to make the other women, whose death have been less mediatised, ‘visible.’

Henny shows 12 portarits from the Disappearing Women Series participants, whose lives were dramatically cut short.

The court heard from him that he had told police that “everything went out of control” and that he hoped to not hurt her like that.

Sarah Jane Bannister, Ms Bannister’s daughter, spoke out in a victim impact statement about how she had predicted that Campbell, her boyfriend of five year, would kill her mother.

She said, “I hated him from day one.” She said, “I knew he had hit her and had already taken her to hospital in the past.”

“I recall telling her that I would call you next in a body bag.

‘I received a phone call to inform me that my mother was in serious condition at the hospital.

Oliver Glasgow QC, prosecutor, said that after severing his hand, he then dragged their bodies into trees without thinking about their dignity.

Hussein signed an agreement with Lucifuge Rofocale, a ‘demon’ who promised to’sacrifice women’ in return for the Mega Millions Super Jackpot.

Jurors were also told that he offered blood for sexual potency and to make a girl from his school fall in adore with him.

Sam Pybus, a boyfriend of Sophie Moss, killed Sophie Moss, a 33 year-old mother of two. He applied pressure to her neck while having sex with her and claimed it was consensual.

Married Pybus said that he and Ms Moss had been together for three years and that she encouraged him and her to strangle her during consensual sexual sex.

Sam Pybus, 32 years old, said that Sophie’s death was an accident. He also stated that Sophie liked to be choked in bed. He was sentenced to a four-year and eight-month-long term.

Teesside Crown Court heard that Pybus had consumed 24 bottles of Lager when he applied pressure on her neck for tens or even minutes at her Darlington flat.

Pybus woke up to find Ms. Moss naked and unresponsive. He did not dial 911, but waited for 15 minutes in his car before driving to a station to raise the alarm.

Married Pybus said that he and Ms Moss had been together for three years and that she encouraged him and her to strangle her during consensual sexual sex.

The 32-year-old claimed to have little recollection of what happened but said Sophie had ‘encouraged and enjoyed’ having pressure applied to her neck.

Pybus was accused of murder, but he entered a not guilty plea which was accepted by Teesside Crown Court in June. He was sentenced to four years and eight months in jail.

Instead, he admitted to ‘unlawful murder’ and pleaded guilty for manslaughter in court. He wore a grey suit and a white shirt.

The Crown Prosecution Service stated that there was insufficient evidence to support a murder charge against him because there was no evidence to suggest he intended killing her or cause severe harm.

Kelly Stewart, 41, was found beaten to death in Plaistow’s east London churchyard on March 26, 2020.

Kelly, originally from Newham, was currently homeless at the time she died.

According to officers, she was attacked between 12.45am – 1.45am.

Kieran Rifat (22), attacked her in a frenzied attack. He then dragged her down an alleyway and assaulted again with a large gas canister.

Through the Bridges Project, a charity that provides free breakfast meals for the homeless at the church, the two met.

Rifat had had an argument with Ms Stewart’s ex-boyfriend, Henry Donker, and then ‘took it out’ on her because Mr Donker was ‘substantially’ bigger in build.

On the morning after the attack, pastor Edwin Mbugua-Kibathi noticed her scattered clothing and a blood trail and called police who found Ms Stewart’s body covered in flies.

Prosecutor Charlotte Newel said her injuries were ‘so severe that her skin was sunken into her skull’.

Her body was found on the grounds of  Memorial Community Church in Barking Road, Plaistow and it was ruled she had died of severe head injuries 14 hours earlier.

Rifat was sentenced to life imprisonment at the Old Bailey in February for murder.

Vian and Dr Saman were both poisoned by Henny. Khan tried to make it appear that Saman had killed her daughter.

Dr Saman Mir Sacharvi (49) and Vian Mangrio (14 years old), were murdered by Shahbaz Khan (52) at their Burnley home last September 30.

CCTV footage showed that someone arrived at the home at 11:50am and did not leave until 10pm that day.

Police made a welfare check at the home of the mother and daughter in October 2020 and found their bodies.

Vian’s corps was downstairs, while Saman was upstairs.

Khan pleaded guilty at Preston Crown Court in June this year, after initially blaming a ghost named Robert for the appalling crimes, which has seen his wife Rabia Shahbaz, 45, jailed for 30 months for giving him an alibi.

Khan was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 34 years.

handyman Shahbaz Khan, 52, killed both Saman and Vian at their home. He was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 34 years in jail

Shahbaz Khan, a handyman, was 52 when he killed Vian as well as Saman at their house. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term 34 years.

Khan had attempted to set them alight in order to get rid evidence and make their death seem like an accident.

He also attempted to frame the scene in a murder suicide to make it appear that Saman had killed his daughter.

A post-modern examination revealed that Saman was strangled with a ligature.

Khan admitted that he was that person but claimed that the mother and daughter were still living when he left the property.

At his trial on October 5 this year, prosecution argued that Khan drugged Saman by mixing Diazepam, Rose wine, fruit and a spice into a smoothie. After she was taken under the influence, and she was unable fight back, Khan killed her.

Vian returned from school around 3.25pm on that day. She was then drugged and murdered.

A quantity of jewellery belonging to Saman, worth an estimated £27,000, was later found in Khan and Shahbaz’s loft by police.

Rosemary was taken to the hospital by members of public who raised the alarm. She died five days later.

Unmack was given a life sentence for his crime. Guildford Crown Court told him that he will spend at least 19 more years in prison in June 2021.

Unmack was diagnosed with paranoid Schizophrenia in 2008. He had been under the care and supervision of the Reigate Community Mental Health staff at the time.

During the trial, the court heard that Unmack had attacked women before, including an elderly woman with who he had previously struck up a relationship.

“The jury rejected your defense that you were experiencing psychotic episodes, but I accept that you have suffered from a mental disorder for more than 20 years.

‘No sentence that this court can pass won’t replace the experiences Rosemary and her family have endured because of her death.

Deborah Zachery, the victim’s daughter, paid tribute to her mother by saying that her mother was attacked 150 yards from her home on a quiet residential street.

“The experience had a dramatic, chaotic impact on our personal and professional lives. MailOnline reported that Rosemary would be the victim. We had never expected there to be a crime in our family.

Jackie Hoadley was 58 when Ray Hoadley stabbed her to death. He was 62. She was found in a pool with her own blood at their Eastbourn residence on July 5.

Hoadley, 62, pictured, was told at his sentencing at Lewes Crown Court that he will serve at least 26 years.

Hoadley, aged 62, was told by Lewes Crown Court at his sentencing that he would serve at most 26 years.

The couple were married for 28 years. They have two severely disabled children, Matthew (16, and Ellie (9), who need constant care.

Today, however prosecutors stated to a jury that the relationship had ended and pointed out that Hoadley was motivated by a money dispute. MailOnline reported in January.

Jackie’s body was discovered by her daughter’s caregiver, who set off an alarm.

Hoadley, aged 62, was informed at his sentencing at Lewes Crown Court, that he will serve at most 26 years.

The couple adopted Matthew and Ellie in 2007 and 2014 respectively. Both had complex care needs that required 24 hour supervision.

Ellie, a legally blind person, was in the next-door room when Jackie’s body became apparent.

Hoadley was convicted of murder in January. After he tried to end his own life in April 2020, he was found dead in Chichester, West Sussex.

After being discharged from the hospital, he moved into an Eastbourne multi-occupancy home.

Hoadley is believed to have killed Jackie because of money worries when she refused to sign a financial contract he created to divide their assets.

The prosecution used dashcam footage and nearby CCTV footage to support their argument. They argued that Hoadley drove to Jackie’s house at 11:30pm and left before 1:30pm.

He is believed to have killed his estranged wife in that two-hour window.

Prosecution also believes Hoadley drove down to the beach to get rid a pair of scissors that could be the crime weapon.

Hoadley tried cover-up the crime by calling Jackie several times the next morning and leaving messages before calling emergency services.

Hoadley, aged 62, was informed at his sentencing at Lewes Crown Court, that he will serve at most 26 years.

A friend spoke via videolink during the trial and said that the couple seemed to be getting along and that they had a blissful’ marriage. Maryam has never complained about anything throughout their 17 year-long marriage.

Egal claimed that he had contracted the coronavirus, and had stopped working at time of attack. However, no evidence was presented to support his claim.

Maryam, he claimed, told him to ‘die in the streets’ when she told him he had contracted the virus. She was afraid of getting sick.

He said he had diminished responsibility because he suffered from paranoid  schizophrenia, however, his medical records showed no history of mental illness.

Prosecutor Allison Hunter QC stated during the trial: “Upon his arrival [to the police station]Egal told the officer who opened his van door that he had coronavirus. He advised him to stay away from him.

He said that it was the coronavirus which had driven him insane and caused him to kill his wife. He claimed that his wife said that he could have died on the street if he told her.

‘He stated it was certain that Maryam had stood above him and physically tried get him out.

Ranjit Gill (43), is believed to be the victim of Ranjit Gill’s murder by her husband Anil Gill (46), in Beresford Close. Emerson Valley in Milton Keynes.

In February, her body was discovered in their 300,000 house. Police concluded that Gill had killed her.

According to Bedfordshire Live, Gill was accused of having stabbed Ranjit 18 times with a large knife he had taken from his kitchen at his trial in October.

Ranjit died after receiving four severe injuries to her chest at Luton Crown Court. During the trial it was stated that Ranjit was a bully to wife in the years before the attack.

Ranjit’s sister advised Gill to flee Gill before the attack. However, she stated that she was afraid he would hunt her down in order to kill her.

Gill admitted manslaughter but claimed he wasn’t guilty of murder because he had “lost control”.

In the early years of their marriage, they were happy in Bedford. However, their relationship began to deteriorate after they moved to Milton Keynes. Gill lost his well-paid job, and became long-term unemployed.

Ranjit was suffering from health problems and was on sickness benefits.

Court heard that Gill became increasingly violent towards his wife over the years. He struck her several times, slapped her, and shouted at her.

After domestic disputes broke out several times, police were called to the couple’s house.

Ranjit was believed to have had an affair with a drug dealer, and that he wanted Gill to divorce him.

It is believed that on the eve of Ranjit’s death, the couple had £300 worth of cocaine delivered to their home.

Gill was looking at gay porn sites hours prior to the attack and was questioning his sexuality.
