Why are exposed Thongs Back in Style?

Rochelle White, celebrity stylist, said that social media pages that allow users to share throwbacks from the 1990s and early 2000s should be credited with keeping the trend alive.

She said, “But, also TikTok.” “I feel that many TikTok creators (US-based) have been slowly bringing things back like Von Dutch, glitter, and now thongs on display.

“Also the catwalk brought it back in 2020. Maximilian Davis, London Fashion Week designer, brought it back at her SS2021 London Fashion Week show.

“Not to mention British Indian designer Supriya Lele and Donatella Versace also did the exact same.”

Stars like Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian have had their straps peeking out of their jeans or backless dresses in recent months.

Celebrities are given her tips on how to style the look at their homes. stylist Rochelle White said: ‘Exposed thongs are making their comeback and are becoming more visible than ever. You can participate in this trend as set recently by Dua lipa. Find thongs that match your style.

Styles that sit comfortably on your trouserline or slightly higher so that it peeks through are recommended.

The higher the thongs, the better. You should look for thongs with a higher waist that the trouser line to complement your hips.

She said: “When it comes to making it fashionable, keep it neutral and simple.

“Match the colours to the outfit and avoid bright colours or garish patterns.

It should be considered as part of your overall look.

“However, if they do get any kind of a peak or a glace, make it appealing to the eye.”
