This is the moment Premier League star Kortney Hause crashed his new, £180,000 Lamborghini through a metal school fence just yards from the front gate only hours before his team was due to play a crucial match.
Aston Villa defender Hause, 26 slammed his superfast car, which can reach speeds of up to 180 mph, into perimeter fencing of the twin Pioneer and Wisdom Academies, which are joint Islamic faith junior and secondary schools in Aston, Birmingham, close to the team’s home ground.
On Wednesday, just after 12 noon, the accident occurred. Later that evening Hause was an un-used substitute for Aston Villa’s home match against champions Manchester City, which they lost 2-1.
The defender crashed through the metal fencing and his airbag burst, causing damage to the car’s front and sides.

The player, who was startled by the incident, waited for friends and called police. Although shaken, he didn’t sustain any injuries.
A witness told Mail Online: ‘We heard this almighty bang, and everyone came rushing to see what had happened.
“We noticed that the flash car spun out of control, and went straight through the fence. It had to have struck the fence with some force.
‘We all realised it was probably a footballer when we saw it was a 2021 Lamborghini – and then we recognised it was Hause. He didn’t look injured, but he did seem to be a bit blown away – he looked shocked.’
Eyewitnesses said it was also fortunate that there were no children present at the time of the crash, as everyone was praying.
One said: ‘It could have been a lot worse because the accident was close to the main gate, where it can get quite busy. When it happened, the kids were all in the school for prayer time, so no one was too near the crash site.’
Eyewitnesses reported that Hause appeared uninjured, but was shaken by yesterday’s crash.
His airbag was inflated by the defender, and his car sustained damage on its side and front.
He made headlines for scoring the winning goal against Manchester United for Aston Villa earlier in the season, but the media also covered his complicated love life.
The stunning Paige Bannister was his first love. But, it ended in disgrace when he was accused of being cheating on her with Crystal Palace star Wilfred Zha. She now has a child with Zaha.
According to the media, Zaha, also at that time in a romantic relationship, secretly met up with Paige while she was still in school and with Hause.
One newspaper reported that a friend said to him at the time, “Zaha is falling for Paige in an enormous way.” Although he has said that he would leave his girlfriend, it is difficult right now.
“She is sorry that her friend was having an affair, but she doesn’t feel sorry enough not to continue sleeping with her partner.”
After starting professional football at Wycombe Wanderers, Hause moved on to Wolverhampton Wanderers then Aston Villa. He joined Aston Villa in 2019.
