Little Mix – consisting of Jade Thirlwall, 28, Perrie Edwards, 28, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 30 – have announced the group is taking a break after ‘ten amazing years’.
Little Mix shared the news via Twitter Thursday. They sent a series heartfelt tweets explaining that they felt the right time to stop and recharge to work on other projects.
After weeks of speculations about the band’s dissolution, this news is finally official.

The full text was written by them: “We want to let everyone know that following the Confetti Tour in April/May next Year, we will be taking a short break from Little Mix.
“It’s been an amazing 10 years. It’s been a great non-stop adventure. Now is the right time to relax and take some time off.
“We are so grateful for the love, support, and kindness you have shown us since our beginning. Your love and support are so much appreciated by all of us.
Little Mix said, “We’re not going to split up. Little Mix is here to stay.” The future holds more music, tours, and performances. With you, we have shared so many wonderful memories and can’t wait until there are more.

“We are sisters, and will always have one another and you, our fans in our lives. Little Mix will always be there for you, so see you when Little Mix goes on tour. Jade, Leigh Anne and Perrie.
Little Mix posted a compilation video of their favorite moments from the past years.
Last month Little Mix continued to defy the split rumours surrounding them.

Capital Breakfast featured the group to talk about their best hits and vow to continue for many years, ‘like The Rolling Stones.
The chat came after Jesy Nelson left the group last December, citing a decline in her mental health.
Her statement that she made at the time was: “The truth is, recently being part of the band really took a toll upon my mental health.” The constant pressure to be in a girl band and live up to the expectations is hard for me.
“So, after much thought and with a heavy soul, I am announcing that I will be leaving Little Mix. It is time to be with those I love and do things that bring me joy. I’m ready to embark on a new chapter in my life – I’m not sure what it’s going to look like right now, but I hope you’ll still be there to support me.’
Little Mix has been plagued by rumours about a breakup or hiatus since Jesy left. Radio star Sonny Jay inquired about it in the latest interview.

Perrie commented, “I think that no matter how Little Mix does it, whether we venture outside individually or together, Little Mix will always be there, just like Jade.”
Because Little Mix’s music is fire, we will always stay together.
“And although it pains me to admit this, we do have something very special. We know Little Mix is strong and so we don’t want that to end.
Jade then interjected to push: ‘You know like the Rolling Stones, how they’re still going… Yeah honestly! I don’t want anyone to grow tired of me in fifty years.
Roman Kemp suggested that the girls were ‘best friends’ and ‘always in touch’. This was a sentiment they all shared during the candid conversation on the program.

Jesy was forced to leave the band last year because of the mental strains she experienced being in a girl group.
Following the release of Bad Boyz’s first single, Leigh Anne became embroiled in a dispute involving ‘Blackfishing’.
Jesy said last month that it was a’sad’ she no longer speaks to Little Mix.
Graham Norton was told by the singer that there is no bad blood between her and her ex-bandmates following blackfishing over Boyz’ Boyz music video.

Jade shared with Jesy that the group had warned her about blackfishing in October before she abruptly left the group.
Leigh Anne, her ex bandmate in Boyz, criticized the Boyz singer on Instagram for adopting black culture. She darkened her skin with fake tannin and changed her hair colour in the video.
Stella magazine’s Jade said that while they don’t wish to comment on the video or criticize the situation, one thing Jade will say is that Jesy had been approached by the group in an extremely friendly, informative manner.
Leigh-Anne added: “Capitalizing on blackness and not having to deal with the realities of daily life is harmful for people of colour.
“We believe it is absolutely unacceptable to use harmful stereotypes. It’s difficult to summarize the vast amount of information on this topic in one sentence.
Vowing to continue: The group was on Capital Breakfast in November to talk about their biggest hits album, and they vowed that they would keep going for many years “like the Rolling Stones”.
Jesy claimed she enjoyed her time with Little Mix, and she wishes them the very best. Jesy also stated she plans to record her debut solo single in 2022.
Jesy answered a question about Little Mix’s departure. She said, “We are not talking anymore.” Although it is very sad, I can assure you that there are no bad blood on my side.
I loved spending time with them. We have some amazing memories. However, it’s one of those things that requires time.
“They are the most sickest girl group in the entire world to me.”
The Sun first announced that Little Mix was to end its three-year relationship in October. The Sun also revealed that the band would be calling it quits as a trio, with an announcement made mid-November.
It was reported in the newspaper that “the end of road” had been reached and that their next tour, which would include the girls, would be a farewell for their faithful fans.
Sources told The publication that there had been much speculation over the future of Little Mix, but it now seems clear that Little Mix is at the end.

Jesy is not the only Little Mixer to have moved on to pastures new, with Leigh-Ann recently landing a role in festive film Boxing Day.
Perrie and Jade were there to cheer on the movie’s London premiere. This proves that these stars will support one another in future solo ventures.
Additionally, Perrie and Leigh Ann became parents for the first time this year. This likely contributed to their decision not to continue with the group.
Leigh-Ann welcomed twins with her fiancé Andre Gray in August, while Perrie and beau Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain welcomed a son named Axel that same month.

Little Mix’s ten-year anniversary was celebrated last month by releasing a song called Between Us. The band explained that the new track is meant to honor their friendship, sisterhood, and amazing relationships with their fans in this beautiful emotional ballad.
After Jesy’s departure, it was the fourth song the band released together.
Perrie stated that the song “Between Us” is the most difficult song they’ll ever be able live. There will be many tears. This song is so beautiful and cute, it’s my favorite.

Wings was one of the girl’s first singles. The second verse also mentions Power, Bounce Back, and Power. They changed our lives. It gave us the strength to conquer any obstacle. We bounce back every time we fall.
Jade stated, “It is one of those songs anyone can listen and think of someone they really love.” This song will be with us forever, which is nice.

The band has had a remarkable 2021. Little Mix was awarded ‘Best British Band’ at the 2021 BRIT Awards earlier this year, becoming the first ever female group to win that award.

In July of this year, the Official UK Singles Chart Top 10 was 100 weeks long. This is the largest number for a girl group in recorded history.
Leigh Anne told Little Mix fans watching Official Charts after the feat: “Wow!” We couldn’t have achieved this feat without you.
Collectively, the Top 10 spent more time in the Top 10 than any other girl group ever charted in UK history.
Girls Aloud was the closest to reaching the landmark, with 61 consecutive weeks on the singles chart. The Supremes came in second with 59 weekly.
Even the legendary British girl power band Spice Girls could not break the record, as they managed only 50 weeks on the Top 10 Singles Chart.

Little Mix has 18 UK-top 10 singles so far, with five numbers. Sweet Melody was the top charting song in January.
