Tim Paine, Australia’s Test Captain after his exposure in the sexting scandal was exonerated by social media.
On Friday, Paine, who was in tears after receiving explicit texts from a female colleague of staff last year made it public.
Cricket Australia conducted an investigation into the husband-and-wife of two children in 2018, after Cricket Tasmania employees complained. However, the matter was cleared of misconduct.

After his involvement in the sexting scandal four years back was revealed, Paine decided to resign.
After his misdemeanour, Twitter users were quick to mock the 36-year old cricket fan.
The 36-year-old sent a photo of his penis to a female co-worker along with a stream of lewd text messages, with one reading: ‘Will you want to taste my d***?? F*** me, I’m seriously hard.’
Paine, as a player is quite vocal and sometimes gets in the way of his opponents. Social media took a lot of delight in his Twitter faux pas.

Australian broadcaster Michael SmythPaine was not the only one who laughed. Smyth uploaded a photo of Cain’s 1896 statue in Paris’s Tuileries Garden. It shows the marble statue with its head in it’s hand. Smyth wrote: “New Statue of Tim Paine unveiled outside Adelaide Oval.. #TimPaine.. #Cricket.”
Australia is now looking for a third captain after Paine’s resignation. This comes just a few years after Steve Smith had to resign due to his involvement in the infamous ‘Sandpapergate’ ball-tampering scam during Australia’s 2018 South Africa tour.
