Bonhams Auction House sold a number of Happy Days items on Wednesday.
Henry Winkler (76) auctioned off many props and easily identifiable costumes that he wore over his six decades of acting, beginning in 1970. These included some from when he played the famous Happy Days character Arthur Fonzarelli. Also known as “The Fonz” and “Fonzie”,
Bonhams reported that $231 562 was the highest price for a 1949 Triumph Trophy500 motorcycle. That’s well beyond its expected value of $80,000 to $120,000.

A Fonzie complete Fonzie ensemble, which included a brown leather jacket and two T-shirts in white, as well as a pair blue jeans, black leather biker boots, was another big sale. According to Bonhams, the ensemble was sold at $75,312.
A Smithsonian National Museum Of American History has displayed one of Fonzie’s jackets as an indication of Happy Days and Fonzie’s significance.
Happy Days gave viewers a glimpse of 1950s-early 1960s life. It premiered in January 1974 and lasted for 11 seasons.
Some other Happy Days-worn goods sold at impressive prices included mechanic overalls, which sold for $14.025, an Army button-up shirt for $2.040 and softball uniforms selling for $1.275. The cowboy boots went for $1.083.

Another important item sold: The complete Fonzie Fonzie Outfit worn at the show. This included a brown leather jacket with two white T-shirts and blue jeans.

Winkler sold a variety of costumes and props he used during six decades in acting
One pair of belt buckles with Fonzie signature and image was sold at $1,020
Winkler, in addition to Happy Days, also sold items from various projects such as Scream and Macgyver. Night Shift was another project Winkler worked on.
Authentic Scream masks, which were used in 1996’s hit movie, where Winkler played Principal Arthur Himbry sold for $25,312 and $27,812, respectively.

Winkler talked about how he put up the objects on the block as well as the sentimentality involved.
It is always with me in my heart, and my thoughts. It was the show that threw me out into the world and I will always be grateful,’ Winkler told KABC earlier this month.
“Letting something go does not diminish the magnitude of the experience.
The majority of the money from sales of these items will be donated directly to This Is About Humanity. This non-profit was started by Zoe, his daughter. This organization helps families that have been separated or reunited at the U.S. frontier.

ABC’s hit series Hit: Happy Days ran for eleven seasons, from 1974 through 1984.
