The story of a Nasty Gal customer, who purchased a maxi gown in the hopes that she would look like a fortune teller has been revealed by her. Hagrid was called a huge frock because it so large it engulfed her 12-inch frame.
Demileigh Moore (Nail and Eyelash Technician), Shirebrook in Derbyshire bought an oversized maxi dress last month in size 12 to wear to a fancy dress event.
But the dress swamped her tiny frame with snaps showing her wearing the £12 cotton gown’ with the neckline skimming her belly button while the sleeves droop over her fingertips.
Demileigh, a beautician, modelled the dress before a client in her home salon. The pair laughed at it and Demileigh believed that the dress was at least six sizes too large. She is now a 24.

Demileigh, a beautician, modeled the dress before a client in her home salon. The pair laughed at the ridiculous size of the dress. Demileigh believed it was at least six sizes too big. Here’s how it looks.

Demileigh, who was dissatisfied by the comments of social media users that it might only have been a 12 size for Hagrid, has pledged to be more careful when she orders oversized clothing in the future.
‘I couldn’t stop laughing – it’s just so funny. It was opened while I worked in my garden in my lash technician job.
“I just laughed so hard because it was so big.
“I believe the girl who was making my eyelashes thought that I was exaggerating, but she opened her eyes and took a photo which I posted on Facebook. It was funny, and everyone else agreed.
Demileigh is disappointed and has made a vow to order oversized clothes more carefully in the future. Social media users suggested that it may only be a size 12 on behalf of Hagrid, the loveable giant.
It was shared online by users who found the hilariously oversized look to be funny after sharing it.
“We couldn’t stop laughing because we couldn’t believe its size. It was too big for me to wear at the end.
“I don’t understand how they can do that so poorly. They don’t seem to go beyond that size.
“It was not even two sizes too large, it must have been size 24, It was huge.
It said size 12, but it is too large.
It’s not on the shoulder. The drawstring is there. People claimed that they have ordered large items before, and pulled the drawstrings tighter. But the sleeves are huge. It would still be too small if it was tightened.
Demileigh wore an entirely different gown when she was dressed as a fortune teller.
Demi was so baffled at the look, she’s pictured wearing better fitting clothing before going out on a night.
I will return it for a full refund. I will be more careful next time.
Social media users shared a photo of the outfit online and found it hilarious.
One said, “Size 12 for who Hagrid?”
Another person added: “Oh dear, someone got it wrong with the size.”
One third said: “Honestly me and that guy could have gone camping for one week in that.”
Nasty Gal confirmed that Demileigh was indeed sent a “missized” item, as Demileigh suspected.
Demileigh’s suspicions were confirmed by Nasty Ga who said Demileigh received a’missized item’.
According to a spokesperson for Nasty Gal, “At Nasty Gal, we are very serious about product quality and it is our priority that our customers be completely satisfied with our clothes.”
“In this case, we acknowledged Demileigh’s obvious receipt of a misplaced item and issued her a full refund.”
