The uncomfortable encounter between a female bartender and a male client was shared by the victim. He claimed she gave him a good time in her hotel room, even though he had tipped her.

Kayla Governor, 24, was already feeling ‘scared and very uncomfortable’ when she began recording during a shift last month, explaining that the man’s initially harmless flirting had turned aggressive, with him inviting her to his hotel room to do cocaine — and not taking no for answer.

This video went viral on TikTok. The man is heard frequently batting aside her refusals and telling her that she ‘looks just like the type’. It was so easy for you to make so much from me.

Bartender Kayla Governor filmed an interaction with a male customer who was harassing. Just before she began recording, she says the flirting had turned aggressive

Kayla Governor was a bartender who recorded an encounter with a man she felt harassing. She says that the harassing male customer was flirting just before she started recording.

Kayla explained that she was bartending from 5 pm to midnight that evening when the man came in around six and stayed until closing — even ordering two drinks at last call.

He was just innocently flirting at first. She said that he barely spoke at all during my first shift.

She can be heard repeatedly telling him she is not interested, but he keeps pushing, telling her she 'seems like the type' and 'needs it'

Although she can often be heard telling him repeatedly that she doesn’t want to talk, he persists in telling her that she seems like she needs it and “seems like she would love” the relationship.

But, towards the end of that night, “he began to ask me to take him to the hotel room.”

He kept on asking me: “Come back in my hotel room. I will show you a goodtime, I have coke. “All this bizarre stuff,” she replied.

‘At this point, I’m uncomfortable’ — and that’s when she began recording, aiming her camera up at the ceiling so he wouldn’t realize.

She can be heard saying to him “I don’t do that”

“You look like the kind of person… He responds, “I feel that you require it.”

She insists, “I don’t have it,”

He tells her, “I disagree.” “It’s the least that you can do… I took good care today. I made so much off you.

She tells him again, “I’m not really interested in that.”

The man asks if she has a boyfriend, when she replies in the affirmative, he asks if he’s there — and she says no.

He says, “You’ve got many fans.” You’ve got many people who fear talking to you. “They stare at you as if they’re weirdos, but don’t talk to you.”

The man tells her it's 'the least she can do' because the money she made from serving him that day

He tells her that she should do it because she got so much from his service.

Kayla said she was 'scared' and 'uncomfortable,' and takes issue with how some men think female servers and bartenders 'owe' them something

Kayla claimed she was scared and uncomfortable and took offense at the way some men believe female bartenders and servers ‘owe them’ something

Then she says, “Kinda loves you?” When she quips, “Kinda like you?” he responds honestly that he actually has lots to say…a lot of ideas. It’s my passion to be unique. Are there many men who are as charming as me and can offer something unique?

She replies, “Yeah. But I didn’t want to that.”

He tells her that he feels like he doesn’t need it. She responds, “I feel like I don’t have the right to know.”

Speaking to BuzzFeed, Kayla said that men are flirty and pushy with her ‘almost every time’ she works, but this was the first time she ‘actually got scared and very uncomfortable.’

This shows how women can still be seen as properties and objects. I’m doing my job, and my job happens to be serving alcohol. That doesn’t make it okay for men to act like I owe them something else,’ she said.

“I believe men should understand that being kind is part of my job. It’s not common for bartenders to flirt with you. She continued, “We’re being polite and nice.”

‘I’m not even saying men can’t flirt with their bartender, especially if she does show interest back. If she doesn’t say yes, as I have many times before, it is time to be respectful of the “no” word.

'Men need to understand me being nice is a part of my job. Not every bartender is flirting with you,' she said

“Men must understand that I am nice. That is part of my job.” You don’t have to flirt with every bartender, she explained

Kayla’s viral video received millions of hits and supportive comments.

One said, “This guy sounds as if he could literally murder your out of spite due rejection and for hurting His fragile ego.”

“Sick… This gave me chills.” You can only imagine what he does for women who are intoxicated! One other.

“This is very sad. It is banter, he says. He wrote that she is trying very hard to be kind.

A few commenters suggested that Kayla should have just been rude to the man, but she pointed out that this is her job — and her ability to pay her bills rests on getting paid and providing good service.

Although it may sound selfish, or perhaps even foolish, at the end the truth is that I have to earn money. Without tips, I’m going home with less than $4 an hour. It’s really hard being a woman in the service industry. It’s impossible to predict how men will react,” she stated.
