After fearing that her boyfriend would cheat on her, a young girl whose “vibrancy lit up every room she entered” took her own life.
Ella Emery, 27, was found dead at the property she shared with her partner Jack Freeth, in Milnsbridge, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, just before 8am on June 15, 2019.
The legal secretary for solicitors Eaton Smith, who had a history of anxiety and self-esteem issues, feared her boyfriend, a Kirklees Council heating engineer, had been messaging other women before her death.
She also had fears about money and was under stress from caring for her grandparents, Yorkshire Live reports.

Bradford Coroner’s Court heard that Ella was also a part time eyelash technician and later used her smartphone to call another woman pretending to him, in an attempt to verify if she had suspicions.
The court heard that Jack was initially arrested on suspicion of the 27-year-old’s murder after West Yorkshire Police launched a homicide enquiry.
However, Ella, a 24-year-old heating engineer at the time, said that he had never spoken with another woman. He told the court, “I loved that girl to pieces”
The senior investigating officer Supt Mark Swift ordered Jack to be released after he was able give officers a complete account.

Anglea Brocklehurst assistant coroner heard the fiery love story between the couple during the hearing.
Ella was also informed that she had tried to end her life in an earlier relationship.
Mrs Brocklehurst said that she found herself in a romantic relationship with an older man, who attempted to control her.
“She was able to give up on him but started to doubt herself. She overdosed.
“She fell in love with Jack. Her sensitive emotions were loyalty and faithfulness.
Coroner Jeffery concluded that the legal secretary who suffered from anxiety and had low self-esteem took her own lives.
“She loved decorating her new home, but Jack’s frequent outings with friends left her feeling bereft.
“In 2016, she attempted to end her life in an older relationship. The last attempt came when her partner was not there to support her.
“That night, she misunderstood events and thought that she was being rejected. Jack was the one she used clandestinely in the wee hours of the morning.
“None of us know Ella’s thoughts and we will never know, but it is a relief that Ella couldn’t go on with her life regardless of the care and love she received from so many.
To pay tribute to Ella Brocklehurst shared the following with her family: “I am sorry to hear about your loss. The life of a young, beautiful woman is gone.”
Jane Emery, Ella’s mother said that Ella was beautiful and that it was obvious to all that Ella had been a very special young lady. However, her family and close friends knew that Ella was much more than that.
“She was kind, caring, and thoughtful. She had a personality that is more than her good looks.
“Her intelligence, sense of humor and vibrancy brightened every room in which she entered.
“With her death, we will all always feel a part of our hearts broken. It is something that cannot be replaced.
“Always represents magnificence” was Ella’s life motto, which we will forever remember. She is a friend and a daughter to be proud of.
A suicide verdict was recorded by the coroner.
