Justine Jenkins, celebrity make-up artist who is also a cruelty-free pioneer in beauty has led a revolution. Here she talks us through her favourite looks – and reveals the products she swears by

MY HOMEMADE WONDER OIL
The gentlest way to clean the skin is with oils. Because of its many healing properties, Jojoba oils are great for skin conditions such acne, eczema or psoriasis. Use this oil around the eyes only.
INGREDIENTS
25ml jojoba oil
40ml Castor Oil
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
Ten drops essential oil. Optional.
EQUIPMENT
Get a small jug
Metal spoon
Optional: funnel
Repurposed 100ml glass bottle, with pump dispenser. Sterilized
- Place the castor, jojoba and vitamin E oils one at a. in the jug.
- Stir in essential oils and continue to stir the mixture with a spoon. To reduce spillage, pour the liquid into a glass container. You can keep the bottle in your refrigerator for as long as one year.
- Apply three to eight drops (or three pumps) of oil onto your hands. Then, rub the oils together. Use your hands to massage the oil on your skin.
- Put a muslin towel or flannel in warm water. Gently squeeze to remove excess water. You can wipe the cloth gently across your skin to remove oily and make-up. If you have stubborn waterproof make-up, continue to wipe the cloth.

How can you make your blue eyes shine? When doing Vicky McClure’s make-up for YOU, I used warm brown eyeshadow; Ophelia Lovibond really suits a statement lip. For the premiere of this movie, I made it stand out by simplifying her eye makeup.

1 Seeds of Colour Natural Colour Balm, £21, seedsofcolour.com. My favorite product for transforming dull, dry skin. It glides onto the skin, on cheeks, and on the lips. This makes it very easy to use and blend. We all need a speed option so if I have five minutes to do someone’s make-up, I go for this.
2 Monika Blunder Beauty Blunder Cover, £45, cultbeauty.co.uk. For more coverage you can either build it up or spread it thinner. You will have luminous skin no matter what you do. The product’s versatile formula makes it a great concealer.
3 Hourglass Curator Lash Instrument, £71, hourglasscosmetics.co.uk.Hourglass, the luxury brand for vegans is top-of-the-line. This is a solution to the impossible-to-recycle mascara wand. It’s beautiful to use and incredibly effective.
4 Axiology Lip to Lid Balmies, £11 each, contentbeautywellbeing.com. These can be used anywhere, but I prefer to use them as blushes, mixed with my fingers. These are wrapped in paper, and placed in a cardboard case. They’re also free of palm oil and waste. All skin types can use this hydrating cream.
5 All Earth Mineral Cream Tint, £16, allearthmineralcosmetics.com. The pots of Mineral Colour Cream are multi-purpose products from the Cornish company. They can be used anywhere on the skin, but I prefer to use them as a cheek and lip product.
6 Juni Cosmetics Luxury Hydrating Lipstick, £48, junicosmetics.com.Beautiful, eco-friendly and recyclable aluminum design. Eco luxe at its best.
7 The Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation, £16, thebodyshop.com. It’s a great moisturizer base and is more affordable than other brands. This product blends wonderfully and provides a glowing, natural look.
8 Kili Beauty Golden Skin Glow Liquid Bronzer, £24, kilibeauty.com. This product is not pearlescent and gives your skin a natural, sun-kissed look. Use a brush or fingers to apply the cream on your face and body.
9 Nirvana Natural Naked Lip Balm, £5.50, nirvananatural.co.uk. Lip color applied to dry lips can be a loss battle. Even the most hydrating lipsticks can look uneven. Nirvana Natural lip balms are great, but I prefer this scent-free one. It is a deeply moisturizing formula that prevents dryness of the lips, and also acts as an amazing base.
10 Code Beautiful VLM Mascara, £19.95, code-beautiful.com.You can use the Volumising Lengthening Vegan Mascara if you like a classic mascara. The formula is easily buildable and does not become too thick. If, like me, you don’t have many lashes, you can really boost what you’ve got.
11 Evolve Liquid Radiance Glycolic Toner, £20, evolvebeauty.co.uk. Your make-up will last longer if you have smooth skin. The toner contains AHA (or BHA) fruit acids and is organic at 63.8 percent. After cleansing, apply to the skin before moisturising. You will see a brighter and smoother complexion with a better texture.
12 MuLondon Fragrance Free Moisturiser, £24, mulondon.com. Perfect for sensitive skins. It is a superhydrating product and a great canvas for applying make-up. B Corp is a certification of businesses that act as an agent for good, Leaping Bunny which is cruelty free and Cosmos who uses organic ingredients.
13 Sbtrct Makeup Melt, £22, sbtrct.co.uk. Everything about this brand is plastic-free. From the formulation of the products to the beautiful dishes and pots they are housed in, I love it. The cleanser is packaged in a small bar that you can warm with your hands and then use to clean your skin.
14 Athr Beauty Rose Quartz Crystal Gemstone Eyeshadow Palette, £40, freepeople.com/uk.Blending these eyeshadows is easy thanks to their soft texture. Gorgeous colours, with great depth of color. It’s easy to see what colors will go well together.
15 Delilah Cosmetics Gel Line, £20, delilahcosmetics.com. I’ve included this amazing multi-use product as I prefer eyeliner in a gel formulation housed in a pot. Blend the eyeshadow with a soft, medium-sized eyeshadow brush. Apply it to your eyeliner and brows.
