Ben Affleck tells Jimmy Kimmel that claims he blamed his ex for his alcoholism were out of context

Jimmy Kimmel was informed by Ben Affleck that Jimmy Kimmel covered his remarks that he began drinking after feeling trapped in his marriage with Jennifer Garner. He said that this made him appear ‘the worst insensitive, stupidest, and most awful man’.

He said Tuesday’s interview with Howard Stern, at 49 years old, was’really neat’. But he wasn’t prepared for the backlash.  

The Tender Bar will be released Friday. 

‘We talked a lot about my family, you know, alcoholism, struggling with real things, how you have to be accountable and loving, how I work with my ex-wife, how I’m so proud of the way we work together for our kids, the best that we can for them.

Kimmel told him that he was delighted to be on Stern. “Wow,” I thought to myself, “Wow!” It was then that I decided to do more self-evaluation, exploration, and honesty. All this information started showing up on Twitter. It was then that I began to wonder, “What’s this?”

Affleck’s comment provoked sharp criticism on social media from users. They immediately supported Garner.

Jimmy Kimmel told Affleck that his interview to Howard Stern in which he stated that he had turned to alcohol because he was not ‘happy during his marriage with Jennifer Garner was really cool.

Affleck appeared on Stern’s Sirius XM radio show Tuesday. Kimmel is often invited to the show as a guest. Affleck happens to be a shock jock.

I was thinking, “I cannot leave my kids. But I am not happy. What do I do?” That’s what I did. [I]Affleck explained Tuesday, “I drank a bottle scotch, fell asleep on the sofa, and that was not the answer.”

‘You blame your ex wife for drinking? She was drunk before she married you! one impassioned Twitter user wrote. 

“Speaking negatively about your mother is a sure way to make it difficult for them.” [sic] a terrible father and a total d***head!’ The user continued and several other people demanded that Affleck assume’responsibility’ for his actions. 

Ahead of the Kimmel interview on Wednesday, Affleck and girlfriend Jennifer Lopez presented a united front on their way to the set. They As they approached the Hollywood studio for late-night television, they held hands.   

Garner also went for a walk with Samuel and Seraphina on Wednesday. She has not spoken in a long time about their 13-year-long marriage.

Garner (49) was married from 2005 to 2018 to Affleck, but their separation took place in 2015. 

Ben looks great: Ben looked smart in a brown overcoat with black pants and blue trousers.

Heat: The actor’s open comments have caused a storm on social media. Users accused Affleck, who was allegedly trying to blame Garner for his alcohol problem on Twitter,

Garner took him to rehab in 2015. After he had split with Affleck, Garner (49) was photographed taking Garner to get quick food and dropping him off at the treatment center. 

Sources claim that Alias’ star feels slapped in the face by Affleck’s remarks and is “not OK” with them.

Lopez is apparently also unhappy, according to Page Six. A source said Lopez was ‘pissed’.

“She’s being pulled in by him because she is with him.” She doesn’t want to be dragged into this,’ the source said. 

“She’s met Jennifer Garner. She is trying to get to know her and Ben’s kids. This is recklessness and cavalier from him.  

Another source said that this was not the truth and the emphasis is on children.

Disconnect: Although Ben did not explicitly blame Jennifer, he complimented Jennifer’s parenting and didn’t directly criticize her. However many of his comments were misinterpreted by his fans as him blaming Jennifer for his drinking.

Disapproval: ‘You blame your ex wife for drinking? She was a drunk before she married you! One Twitter user was passionately demanding that he take responsibility for his actions.

Blame game: Mirroring earlier tweets, another disgruntled fan wrote: ‘@BenAffleck sounds like your blaming your ex-wife for your drinking! Scumbag!’

The overcoat was tan with a white shirt and a blue blouse. He wore black pants and black shoes. 

Lopez chose a casual outfit with a beautiful powder blue coat and wide sleeves. She wore it open.

The jeans were paired with relaxed, pale-blue jeans that are gathered at the waist. 

With a gray sweater on her shoulders and a scarf made of fluffy, striped beige around her neck, Waiting For Tonight sang kept warm.

Her pale blue bag matched her gray coat. She also wore a pair of grey suede boots that elevated her height to 5’5″  

Moving on: Garner marched on with her kids Seraphina (12 years old) and Samuel (9 years), whom she shares with Affleck.

Blue mood: Jennifer wore a blue jacket with baggy jeans and gray pants, as well as a beige-striped scarf, gray suede boots, and a charcoal sweater.

Controversy. While Ben seemed to be talking about The Tender Bar and his film there, Howard Stern made him headlines with a Howard Stern interview where he claimed feeling “trapped” in his marriage to Jennifer Garner caused him to start drinking.

Lopez finished her look with a low-key ponytail. This was to emphasize her flawlessly made-up features and caramel-colored hair.

Ben looked more stone-faced, as she was seen giving her a smiling wink. 

Although Ben thought he would be talking about The Tender Bar (directed by George Clooney), he was actually making headlines because of his appearance on The Howard Stern Show.

He explained to Jennifer Garner that feeling trapped contributed to him drinking during his final days in marriage.  

Ben Garner and Jennifer Garner separated in 2015. This was just one day after the 10-year anniversary. They finalized their separation in 2018.

‘Ultimately, we tried, we tried, we tried because we had kids, but both of us felt like we didn’t want this to be the model that our kids see of marriage,’ he added. 

Affleck blasted the media on Wednesday for twisting his words.

I did some research and found that one website had performed the click bate. “You’ll be amazed at what he said. Click on this to go to our site. Kimmel said that they took the two-hour conversation and made it appear as though I was saying exactly the opposite.

I continued to say how we loved one another, supported each other and cared for each other. It said that I had blamed my ex-wife for my alcoholism, that  I was trapped in this marriage, just made me out to be the worst, most insensitive, stupid, awful guy.
