Boris Johnson borrowed a suit to wear to yesterday’s opening day of the COP26 summit at Glasgow.
The Prime Minister, 57, addressed fellow world leaders wearing a £495 Oliver Brown suit, which can be hired from My Wardrobe HQ for £34 per day.
His eco-conscious wife, 33-year-old, is a big fan of renting out her clothes – and even used a rental company on her wedding day earlier in the year.

Mr Johnson opted to wear a grey single-breasted suit for the trip to Glasgow. The suit is made of cloth sourced from British mills. It features a canvassed chest piece and four button-working cuffs.
Carrie, who is pregnant with her second child with the Prime Minster, reportedly pays £9.99 a month membership to the website My Wardrobe HQ, which allows her to supplement her day-to-day high-street outfits with designer pieces.
The service has been described as a ‘private members’ club for the fashion world’.
A source close to My Wardrobe HQ said in 2019: ‘Carrie loves eco fashion so borrowing clothes for special occasions means they aren’t just left hanging in her wardrobe and rarely worn. One dress can go a long way.’
In May, the mother-of-one tied the knot in a stunning boho-chic gown by Greek designer Christos Costarellos, which costs £2,870 new – but just £45 a day from My Wardrobe HQ.

Carrie also hired three additional decoy gowns from eco fashion to allegedly throw snoops of the scent prior to her and Boris Johnson’s big day. The company only discovered they supplied the UK’s first lady’s gown when they saw the photos.
Sacha Newall, founder and CEO of My Wardrobe HQ told The Telegraph shortly afterwards that they had received approximately 250 inquiries about bridal rentals.
She said, “We’ve seen a huge surge in rental inquiries, especially for bridalwear.”
“Now that Carrie has advocated it as an option for sustainability, it’s only going grow and grow. This could be transformational.
Carrie, an eco-conscious woman, then hired multiple pieces to be used at the G7 summit in Cornwall in June. Two collections from dress rental companies My Wardrobe HQ (and Hurr Collective) were delivered prior to the summit.
