A 16-year old boy was killed in Hillingdon by detectives. They have also arrested another Hillingdon boy on suspicion of murder.
The London Ambulance Service called police at 7.34pm Thursday, December 30, following reports that there had been a stabbing at Philpotts Farm OpenSpace. Found the victim suffering from serious injuries.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene near Heather Lane in Yiewsley at 8.25pm, bringing London’s teenage murder toll to a record high of 30 killings in a single year.
While the identity of the victim has yet to be confirmed by Met police, it was announced that his family had been informed and received support from special officers.
The boy’s death came just minutes after another teenager, Zaian Aimable-Lina, 15, was stabbed to death at Ashburton Park in Croydon, south London.
On suspicion of murder, two 15-year old boys were arrested.

Paramedics failed to revive the boy, who was found near Heather Lane, Yiewsley, at 8.25pm. This brings London’s total of teenage murders to 30 in one year.
James Shirley, Detective Chief Inspector of Hillingdon, stated that although this arrest marks a milestone in the investigation, he said, “While we are pleased with the outcome, it is important to continue exploring all possible avenues for inquiry.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of young men who have been victim to violence.”
“We will do everything we can to ensure justice is done for these people by finding those responsible.”

Zaian Aimable Lina was attacked in Ashburton Park just after 7pm. He died about half an hour later. Paramedics were unable to revive him.

“Zaian”‘s sudden death sent shockwaves throughout the London area. His life was not yet over. He was only 15 years of age. The community must work together to bring the perpetrators to justice.
