August 12, 2012 Police in Moab, Utah respond to a domestic incident involving the couple

Aug. 17: Laundrie flew back to Florida to clear out storage units, according to reports.   

Aug. 21: Petito’s father Joseph Petito is on his last FaceTime call with his daughter in Salt Lake City. 

Aug. 23: Laundrie flys back to Utah in order to join Gabby on their trip 

Aug. 24:Petito was last seen in Salt Lake City at Laundrie.

Aug. 25: Petito calls Nichole Schmidt to make her final phone call, stating that she was at Grand Teton National Park.

Aug. 25, 26For about twenty minutes, the couple talks to Rustic Row owner in Victor, Utah. 

Aug. 27: Jenn Bethune took the video of Petito’s van around 6.30 at Spread Creek Campground. Witnesses said they saw Petito with Merry Piglets, Texas-mex in Jackson. 

Aug. 29: Wisconsin TikToker Miranda Baker stated that Laundrie asked her and her boyfriend for rides at 5.30pm on the day she became a TikToker in Wisconsin.

Aug. 30: Schmidt is sent the following text by Petito on his phone: ‘No Yosemite service’

Sept. 1: Laundrie returns to his parents’ home in North Port, Florida in a van without Petito

Sept. 6-7: Laundrie and his parents visit Fort De Soto campsite in Florida

Sept. 11:Schmidt reported Petito as missing to New York authorities. Petito and Laundrie were both impounded in Florida by the police that very day.

Sept. 12: Grand Teton National Park rangers search for Petito

Sept. 13: Laundrie’s lawyer stated on October 5, that Laundrie’s parents now “believe” this is the date they last saw him going for a hike.

Sept. 14: Petito vanished after Petito made a statement through Laundrie. His lawyer issues Laundrie a statement. Laundrie’s parents assert that Petito went on a hike with Laundrie and hasn’t seen him since. 

Sept. 15:Petito has officially designated Laundrie as an individual of interest

Sept. 17:Laundrie’s family lawyer confirms that his whereabouts remain unknown

Sept. 18:North Port police begin to search the Carlton Reserve, Sarasota County, for Brian Laundrie

Sept. 19: Bethune realizes she has video of Petito’s van around 12am and submits the FBI with the footage 10 minutes later; Officials announce a body was found near Grand Teton National Park that matched Petito’s description in the afternoon

Sept. 21: Petito was confirmed to be the owner of remains discovered in Grand Tetons by Coroner. While her death has been ruled a murder, it is not clear what caused it.

Sept. 20 – 22: FBI and North Port police continue search for Laundrie in Carton Reserve 

Sept. 22– Neighbors claim that they saw Gabby’s family leave their trailer at the Laudrie home on Gabby’s reported disappearance. DailyMail.com photos reveal that the camper was found back at the driveway just two days later on September 13. 

Sept. 23FBI issues an arrest warrant to Laundrie on charges of “use of unauthorized acces device” for using fraudulently a Capitol One Bank credit card, which was not his, between August 30th and September 1st to spend $1,000. A probe into Utah’s police response is initiated on Aug. 12. Laundrie’s family visits their Orlando attorney. 

Sept. 25: Dog the Bounty Hunter joins the search for Laundrie 

Sept. 26: A funeral is held for Petito in Holbrook, New York, and her family launch a charity to help parents find missing children 

Sept. 27: Manhunt for Laundrie in the Carlton Reserve is scaled back after 10 day search doesn’t find him. Dog the Bounty Hunter reports that Laundrie and the parents stayed in Fort De Soto Park September 1-3 and September 6–8. The parents were not present on this visit. 

Sept. 28: Laundrie’s mom is accused of using a burner phone to contact her son Sept. 29: Documents reveal Laundrie’s mom canceled a reservation for the Fort De Soto Park campsite for two from September 1 to 3 and booked for three from September 6 to 8; FBI seizes surveillance footage from site; FBI investigates lead Laundrie bought a burner phone on September 14;  

Sept. 30: Bodycam footage from a second officer at the August 12 incident is released showing a distressed Petito admitting Laundrie hit her; FBI agents collect more evidence from the Laundrie home 

Oct. 1: After Laundrie claimed she had, it turns out that Laundrie’s sister was in touch with him. 

Oct. 2Laundrie is claimed by a hiker on the Appalachian Trail near North Carolina and Tennessee. 

Oct. 3: Laundrie’s footprints were found in an area of the Appalachian trail.  

Oct. 4After being rebuked by her sister, Laundrie told protestors that her family had been neglecting her and she doesn’t know her brother’s whereabouts.

Oct 5,Laundrie’s sister, Laundrie, appeared on Good Morning America to tell Laundrie that she would surrender her brother if she found out where he was;  

Oct. 7: Christopher Laundrie, Laundrie’s father joins FBI agents in the hunt for his son at Carlton Reserve. However, the search yields no leads 

Oct. 12: Brent Blue, Teton County coroner announces the autopsy results that show Petito died from strangulation. There was no specific date given. It was known only that Petito had been dead for 3-4 weeks before her body could be found. 

Oct. 16: Petito’s parents are seen collecting her ashes from the Valley Mortuary in Jackson, Wyoming
