Gaga (born Stefani Gerotta), shared praises on Instagram just a few days after his conservatorship with the pop legend was ended.

She captioned a picture of her in drag, kissing Britney on Britney’s cheek in 2011 at the MTV Video Music Awards. ‘I looked up to her, admired her strength — she empowered so many people and still does. I couldn’t be more happy for you today. It was not your fault that this happened.

Gaga’s kind words and Britney’s loving response were a stark contrast to how the Womanizer singer responded to fellow pop diva Christina Aguilera for ‘refusing to speak’ about her conservatorship termination on Friday.

The 40-year-old Dirrty singer was asked if she and Spears were still in communication while walking the red carpet at the 22nd Annual Latin Grammy Awards on November 18, before her team quickly interjected ‘we’re not doing that tonight.’

Britney posted the clip again to social media. Britney said: “Refusing to talk when you know that the truth is equal to a lie !!!’

Christina spoke previously out on behalf of Spears regarding her conservatorship over social media.

In June the Genie In A Bottle singer had tweeted a photo of them from their Mickey Mouse club days and called her treatment under the conservatorship ‘unacceptable.’

“These past days I’ve thought about Britney, and what she’s going through. It’s unacceptable for any person, male or female, to want to control their destiny and live the life they choose.

Other celebrities included Cher, Andy Cohen and Paris Hilton who also celebrated the Toxic singer’s freedom.

Spears’ and Aguilera’s love story dates back to the Mouseketeer days of the early nineties.

Both Christina and Britney’s stars began to rise around the same time, with Spears becoming an overnight sensation after 1998’s …Baby One More Time, and Christina rocketing to fame after Genie In A Bottle in 1999.

The two women became pop stars, and they often found themselves in a fight, even though their friendship began as friends.

The two were a bit of a foil, however. Britney was the music’s good girl’ and Christina had an naughtier look.

Memorable: While Britney was helmed as a 'good girl' to Christina's 'bad girl' they came together for one of the most memorable performances in television history as they performed with Madonna on the 2003 MTV VMAs

Memorable. Britney and Christina were portrayed as the “good girl” in the Christina role, but they came together to perform with Madonna at the 2003 MTV VMAs.

However, the pair came together to perform one of TV’s greatest performances as they performed alongside Madonna at the 2003 MTV VMAs.

Even though they had their lips locked with Madonna, Aguilera and Britney were too busy taking pictures of Justin Timberlake. The moment caused Christina to lose a lot more attention.

A feud ensued when the Moulin Rouge singer made an oblique remark about Spears during Blender magazine’s interview. The Lucky singer was then forced to ridicule her.

‘Every time I tried to start a conversation with her — well, let’s just say she seemed nervous the whole time,’ Christina had said. “She looks like a little lost girl. She desperately needs guidance.”

After retaliating, the circus singer turned it around on her. “A lost girl?” It could be the reverse.

After recounting a strange encounter, she said that she had accused Ain’t No Other Man’s singer of being “fake” after trying to ‘put my tongue down mine’ at a club after having not seen or spoken in years.

Blender heard Spears say that after being rude to someone so many times it is like saying, “You’re not interested in the fake anymore, Christina,”

One year later, insults continued to be hurled as Christina claimed Britney was acting like “trailer trash” and joked that her engagement ring by Kevin Federline looked like it came from ‘QVC.

Later, she retracted the statements when speaking with DailyMail.com 2008 to try to claim that they were not competitive despite media portrayals.

“It was fun for me when we started releasing records. While it may have appeared that we were competing against each other, Britney was someone I used to be close with. Although I do not judge Britney’s actions or opinions, I am always there to support her.

A decade later Christina seemed to try and start anew as she posted a video collage of herself with powerful women for International Women’s Day, which included Spears.
