Britney Spears continued her ongoing feud with her family members on Tuesday in a blistering Instagram post in which she said she should have ‘slapped’ her mother and sister ‘across your f***ing faces.’
In her since-deleted post, 40-year-old singer–songwriter seemed to take aim at her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 30, for seemingly having gotten a cushier upbringing and a starring role on TV when she was just a child.
Lynne Spears was also criticized for failing to support her after her split with Justin Timberlake.

Britney posted a stock image of sweet holiday beverages in her last post. This seemed to be an attack on her sister who was drinking similar drinks.
Her sister sat at home, in a relaxed position after Timberlake’s split.
‘I flew home to Jamie Lynn on the couch watching her tv shows right after Justin and I broke up… I was a ghost there!!!!!’ She wrote. ‘I had worked my whole life and I didn’t know how to be served by Mamma … Sit there and get served the chocolate milkshakes with the perfectly crushed ice with the secret chunky sugar meanwhile Jamie Lynn is 12, she indulges with the TV for hours then goes to lay out on a raft at the pool.’
She said that Timberlake was her only family and that it was shocking that this had happened to her.

Britney was responding to Jamie Lynn’s claims in Things I Should’ve Said. Britney claimed that Britney once said she was afraid and locked Jamie Lynn in a bedroom while holding a knife.
‘One time, she said to me, “Baby, I’m scared,” and took a large knife from the kitchen, pulled me along to my room and she locked us both inside,’ the actress wrote, via The Sun.
However, Britney’s sister described the alleged incident as happening in 2004, following her marriage to Jason Alexander, now 39, while the singer’s breakup from Timberlake, now 40, occurred in 2002.

The pop star also stated that Lynne, her mother, was not able to take medication upon her return home.

Spears left her most harsh words for her mother and sister at the end of her long caption.
‘I’m sorry Jamie Lynn, I wasn’t strong enough to do what should have been done … slapped you and Mamma right across your f***ing faces !!!!!’ she wrote.
Blast from The Past: Spears posted a video shortly before her lacerating post. She posed in a similar outfit to her famous Baby One More Times video.
Matching: Her tied-off, white, cropped blouse showed her bust, as did a green plaid skirt and gray cardigan.

In response, sources told TMZ on Tuesday that Jamie Lynn is ‘disturbed’ and ‘upset’ by Britney’s latest social media post.

Jamie Lynn has been receiving death threats from Britney every time she posts, according to a source. She’s asked for her resignation with no success.
Spears posted a video in which she posed for a photo similar to the one from Baby One More Time.
Her white, cropped and tied-off blouse showed her flat stomach. She wore it with a plaid skirt that was pleated in green.
In the music video, she wore a grey cardigan and high-heeled socks.
Jamie Lynn was the target of her caption. She described her feelings of loneliness in early career, and her feeling that she had been abandoned. The post, however, was much more subtle than her vicious follow up.
‘In life a lot of people say “DO I MATTER ????” … try eating alone for 4 months morning ☀️ … noon … and night Jamie Lynn,’ she began. ‘I asked myself every day “DOES ANYBODY CARE ??? What is the point? WTF?????? DO I MATTTER???”’

Moving on: After deleting her later post threatening to slap her family members, Spears seemed to wash her hands of the feud with a post reading, ‘Thankful, Grateful, Blessed’
She wondered aloud whether her sister could have persevered in the same conditions.
‘I would honestly be very interested to see your pretty face in the setting I was forced to be in and asking yourself “DO I MATTER ???” I didn’t get to cry … I had to be strong … TOO STRONG !!!
She seemed to conclude her message with words of comfort for her little sister. These were not appropriate among the recent messages.
‘So yes … YOU DO MATTER and don’t you ever think for one f***ing second you don’t. Pssss this is my new …Baby One More Time outfit !!!She concluded, ”
Spears deleted her earlier post, in which she threatened to hit her family, and then posted a text message saying, “Thankful, Grateful. Blessed.”
She wrote in her caption: “NEW DAY NEW GINNINGS.”
On Tuesday she posted a picture of her smiling at night as she stood among the huge roots of an historic Santa Monica fig tree.
”Yes that’s me … the idiot in a tree at 9:00 at night!!!! Every year, I visit the tree with my children. But now they’re too cool !!!!’. She wrote.

Spears is affronting her sister Jamie Lynn publicly in the last weeks.
The singer was more conciliatory over the weekend. She released a statement where she reiterated her love and affection for her younger sister.
Jamie Lynn responded by telling Britney that Britney should talk with her privately and that it was okay to stop repeating the false narratives that I didn’t care about you.
