This is the shocking moment when a bus driver in northern China was knocked out by an elderly man.

The CCTV footage, filmed in the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province on October 25, shows a 68-year-old man swing a trolley at a bus driver’s head.

According to reports, the attacker was furious that the bus was being moved too slowly.

After a heated argument between the driver’s attacker and the driver, the elderly man attacked the bus operator.

Jin, the driver, was knocked unconscious by the blow for a few moments.

Jin called police, and the elderly attacker was detained.

Jin is currently resting at home after sustaining a mild concussion.

The irate passenger’s dangerous behaviour echoes a similar incident from June 2020 in the southern Chinese province of Fujian.

The woman, who had lost her destination in sleep, was furious to wake up on a new street in the southern Fujian province.

Angrily, she kicked the bus doors and yelled at him before launching an attack on him while he was still driving.

Police placed ‘criminal compulsory’ measures on the woman for allegedly ‘endangering security by dangerous means’.

Those found guilty of the crime may be sentenced to death, if the circumstances are particularly grave, according to China’s top law enforcement authority.
