Trois people, including two patients were also killed.

Because of poor safety standards and an ageing infrastructure, ex-Soviet countries are prone to deadly fires.

An oxygen explosion in February caused the death of one patient with coronavirus and left another hospitalized in Chernivtsi.

Four people were also killed in Zaporizhzhya, a southwestern town. The incident occurred after an explosion at the hospital’s intensive care unit. It was being used to treat coronavirus cases.
