After a row about a lover, a neighbour attacked a mum with his baseball bat.
Dominique Thomas, 28 years old, was the victim of the attack. Jessica Verallo (29), was her neighbor and caught it on a doorbell cam.
Ms Thomas was outside with Ruby, her daughter, when a neighbor began shouting abuse at Ruby.
Her neighbour called Ruby an ‘ugly ginger c***’ in an abusive rant which erupted days after she was asked politely to stay away from Ms Thomas’s boyfriend.

Moments later, the ‘ticking bomb’ attack erupted again as Ms Verallo attacked Ms Thomas with a bat and broke her arm.
Ms Thomas, St Fagans in Cardiff, stated that she had something in her hand and was swinging backwards and forwards.
“I realized it was metal baseball bat, and the look of horror on her face when she stormed towards my car was terrifying.
The row, described by Ms. Verallo as a ‘ticking bomb’, erupted even further moments later, when Ms. Thomas was attacked with a baseball bat by Ms. Verallo, breaking her arm.

As terrified children ran down the street, Ms Thomas said, “Stop it!” There are children here.
The footage of the assault was later captured on a neighbour’s camera and taken by police.
Ms Thomas said: ‘All I could do was watch helplessly as she began swinging the baseball bat at me.
“I stumbled backwards, and fell into a bush. Jessica came at me with a full swing on the bat and I managed to raise my arms to stop her from hitting my head.
‘I felt a bone snap in my arm. It was a horrible feeling. Then, bright red blood oozed and spurted everywhere.
After the attack, Ms Thomas was taken by ambulance to the hospital. She underwent three hours of surgery in which six screws and a plate were placed into her arm.
Ms Thomas found out that Ms Verallo had sex with her boyfriend Connor Knapton in the days before the attack.
Ms Thomas (pictured below) discovered that Ms Verallo had chatting up her boyfriend Connor Knapton during the days leading up the attack.
She stated that she was not happy with the actions of her neighbor, but had decided to not make a big scene.
Ms Thomas stated that she had sent a text to her neighbor asking him to ignore Mr Knapton.
She said that Ms Verallo had denied making a pass at her, but then she started screaming at her.
After the attack, Ms Verallo was taken into custody and, after a four day trial, was found guilty of GBH intent and possessing an offensive weapons.

Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard the ‘sickening blow echoed around’ the housing complex of the two women.
Ms. Verallo was sentenced to five years in prison and received a ten year restraining order from the court in June.
Ms Thomas (pictured), has stated that she is now living in fear since the attack and is having trouble sleeping.
Roger Griffiths, the Prosecutor, stated that police had recovered the doorbell video from Ms Verallo and used it to make an arrest for her as a ‘ticking bomb’.
Ms. Thomas said that she is now living in fear and unable to sleep since the brutal attack.
She stated that she was still living in the apartment where the attack occurred, but she is hoping to move. I don’t really want to live there anymore.
“I still have nightmares and terrible flashbacks of that fateful day. I won’t forget it until the day that I die.
“I’m glad I got some justice and Jessica Verallo’s in jail and can’t hurt anybody else.”
Ms. Verallo was sentenced to five-year imprisonment and issued a ten years restraining orders at the court in June.
