Following the death of Sean Rice at 49, Chemmy and Chloe Alcott from Dancing On Ice have made a special tribute to them.

The former Dancing On Ice professional, who appeared on the show in 2011 and 2012, passed away on January 14, leaving behind widow Jodeyne Higgins and their eight-year old daughter Signey. The cause of his death is unknown.

Olympic skier Chemmy was paired on the 2012 show with Sean. She took to Twitter to pay tribute and share her sorrow over the news.

After Sean Rice’s death, Chemmy Alcott (pictured), and Chloe Madeley, a Dancing On Ice alumni have been honored by Honoured.

Chemmy (39), was the second celeb to die that year. She wrote, ‘Have just learned the sad news that Sean Rice has died.

“The world will be missing your incredible energy and healing hands. J. and S., I send my deepest love. x.’

Chloe appeared as a Dancing On Ice competitor in 2011, but she wasn’t paired with Rice. Since then, Chloe has made tribute to Rice, the “kind and funny” skater who was tragically lost on Sunday night’s fourteenth series launch.

She wrote, “My heart breaks for Sean Rice and all of the DOI families.” He was strong, honest and kind, as well as incredibly funny. His ice skills were amazing.

“Sean and Jodeyne were my only choice to see them rehearse on the tour. Every lift was spectacular. I am thinking of Sean and Jodeyne, their daughter Signey.

Rice shared also a short video with Jodeyne, a professional skater herself, performing on the same ice.

Former Dancing On Ice star Frankie Poultney took to Twitter on Sunday to share the sad news, while a GoFundMe page has already raised thousands of pounds to help the skater’s loved ones.

Sean had a daughter Signey with his wife Jodeyne Higgins, also a professional skater and DOI pro. Frankie sent a link that led to a GoFundMe account set up by Florida friends. On Monday, the goal of $25,000 had been met and $16,000 was raised.

The page featured a message that paid tribute to Sean, the poppa bear.

The world has lost an extraordinary man, a father, friend, coach and husband. Sean Rice is gone. It is with great sadness.

Support: Frankie shared a link to a GoFundMe page set up by the family's friends

Frankie provided support by sharing a link that took her to the GoFundMe page created by friends of her family.

“Sean, a passion-driven and larger than life person who was willing to give of himself for anyone who needed it,” said Signey. In that spirit, we reach out to all to offer prayers and support to Jodeyne & Signey in this difficult time.

Signey and Jodeyne have been inundated with requests for assistance. We have created this account on GoFundMe to help them. Let’s look after them like Sean did for others.

Dancing On Ice spokesperson said that they were all saddened by the news. Sean was an amazing skater, friend and colleague on the Dancing On Ice Team. At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with Sean’s family.

Rice competed in pairs skating alongside his professional partner, Higgins, during the first nineties. He was a two-time (1993, 1995) Canadian pairs bronze medallist and four-time (1993–1996) Canadian fours champion.

They won bronze at the Nebelhorn Trophy 1992 and at the Canadian Nationals in 1993.

After their success in competition, they began to tour on cruise ships before joining the Dancing On Ice team in 2011. Rice was paired with newsreader Angela Rippon for his first series while his wife was with Johnson Beharry.

Rice and Chemmy Alcott were again a husband-wife team on the ITV series the year after their divorce. The pair were eliminated just before the finale. Higgins was with Chico Slimani, reaching the final.
