After being slapped in the face by Will Smith, Chris Rock could be back hosting next year’s Oscars.
Deadline was informed by Craig Erwich, president of ABC. He said that Rock would be a good choice for the role.
The next show will take place on March 12, 2023. He said that it would be “even better” than last year.
Will Smith was banned from the ceremony for ten years following an attack on Rock during the March awards show. Smith made a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Craig Erwich, president of ABC said that Chris Rock may be the front man for 2023 Oscars.

Chris Rock is currently on the road with his Ego Death Tour and spoke at Royal Albert Hall, London, on Thursday about Will Smith, Abortion, his relationship life and Meghan Markle.
Although he regretted this year’s violence, the network president stated that he thought it was an excellent show.
“I think the Oscars had been a great year. He stated that although there were some controversy surrounding the show’s fate, he was happy with it.
“Even though that moment was very sad, we started the show year after year and came back big.”
Erwich ignored the fact the scandal sparked up by the slap is one of main points of discussion on the show.
He told Deadline that it was the best bounceback of all award shows this season. It was great for the show to get back on its feet. They had 3 amazing hosts and clips.

Craig Erwich of ABC stated that he would be open for comedian Chris Rock to host the 2023 Oscars.
It’s never too late to improve and there’s still much to learn.
Rock has refused to discuss the incident and only made passing mentions of it on his Ego Death tour, which he is currently on.
‘People expect me to talk about the bulls**t, I’m not going to talk about it right now,’ he told a recent crowd at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
He said that he won’t talk about it until he’s ‘paid,’ and he also suggested that this would occur ‘on Netflix’ someday.
Smith on the other side has apologized and appears to be going through therapy as a result of the assault.
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences resigned him, stating that he had hurt many people, including Chris and his family.
